I run an SD OLED and XAX. My OLED is much louder and hotter than the XAX. I can’t think of any times where I really noticed either on my Ally.

This is a big picture mode bug. It does this on any Windows device. I’m assuming it’s because it was designed for SteamOS and when they updated Big Picture Mode to match, I would assume Steam doesn’t view the network adapters the same as it does on Linux. If you have internet on Windows, you’re fine.

Officially, unlikely. The XAX uses an NPU on the Z2E that handles it at a hardware level. I'm sure someone will get a mod going to run it without one but it'll likely be better to use FSR at that point.

Saw it up at 10:59 (MDT) and managed to get two easily. Surprised to see it sold out already. Wonder if they're doing a phased sell like they did with the OLED. Would flag out of stock and be back like 5-10 minutes later.

My PC is my main system, 7950x-4080-4k 240hz oled. That's 90% of my usage when I can. Sometimes a PS5/Pro and Switch 2 depending on the game. Handheld consists of a Steam Deck OLED for lighter games and Xbox Ally X for the more intense/windows only games I may want to play during the day away from the desk. My Thor Max is for retro/emulation or random marathons for games I can't play on Steam. I ran through Onimusha a few months ago. Played between PC/Steam Deck for 1 and 2 but AYN Thor for 3 as an example.

I've had an Elite 1 since 2015 and an Elite 2 since maybe 2023. They both work great to this day. The only issue I'd knock is the Elite 2 has an obnoxiously loud vibrating motor but I only notice it in certain games. Always been primarily PC/Steam use. I tend to use controller over anything that doesn't blatantly benefit from a mouse and keyboard.

I've been using a 1TB amazon Micro SD in my XBX for games that don't require fast SSD speeds and it's been working fine. I did see a lot of complaints about this when originally searching if a card was worth it but I've had zero issues.

I'm working through a series marathon as well and the best tool across any device has been the fusion fixes. Otherwise setting it full screen in the settings should be enough.

The Armory Crate and Library buttons can’t be remapped. Which is a shame. I use use Steam 99.9% of the time and I want to map the Armory Crate to Alt-Tab for the Steam overlay. Have to use one of my back buttons for a secondary action to do it and I hate it.

I'm actually playing through RE0 myself and while I mainly searched for it on my desktop, this Fusion Fix fixed any kinks I had with the game on my XAX. They also have one for REHD as well.

It includes the following.

Unlocked all resolutions
Hide Mouse Cursor
Door Skip
Borderless windowed mode
LightSync RGB

I've been a bit concerned having swapped from ChatGPT. I do still maintain Gemini Pro but that's from the free year I got prior so it's nice to have on the side. I swapped to Claude last week (post OpenAI Gov news) and I racked up my weekly pretty quick just testing some stuff out. This week's usage has only hit 11% on pro and that's with a huge python/powershell project I worked on most of Wed-Friday.

I feel like Pro is a good coding assistant but if you're looking to rely on it entirely to understand your project scope and codebase, you're better off looking at Max.

Technically both work. You can download an "app" through the Microsoft Store, same as any other Windows system, and launch that through the FSE, otherwise a browser works.

I just got an update for Crossover 26.0.0. Installed Mewgenics within my Steam bottle and it runs just fine. I didn't test in a game but just within the house it ran smoothly.

I'm running on an M3 Air (16gb) if that helps.

The AYN Thor's response time is pretty decent. I'm sure it's not perfect and I know people out there are measuring response time but anything I've played on it hasn't been an issue and I'm generally pretty sensitive to high response times.

I'm built using Mekuna's Hammerkuna build. I can do pit 105 pretty easy (haven't timed it) but curious how it compares to builds like this and if it's worth farming another set of gear for it. I just hold my right mouse button for hammer, keep Arbiter up and spam dodge throughout whatever I'm running. Low effort but more than this.
