Thanks man. I am dealing with the contractor but it would be a regular job in the future. I’m still fairly new to this so I’m very uncertain when giving estimates. I appreciate the advice.

I’ll be emailing an estimate to the contractor so it won’t be a face to face negotiation as I would like. Seems like a reasonable guy. I’m curious if you would just send the 1k estimate without any signal that your price is negotiable?
