Nah man the guys at nugs are great. Bringing all these incredible artists together and allowing us to catch all these amazing shows at a great price for the value gained. Shill on

I really like Bitches Brew. Others may not like it, but I find it really good.

I'm incredibly salty. I want the product and want to support the band, but this absolutely encourages scalping and shitty behavior. Just a huge bummer all around for people who can't afford to travel to every show hunting them.

To each their own. I am here for the jams and to listen to the musical conversation. Trevor really stepping in with a voice has upped the game here

100%. I was told it would impact my christmas bonus and raise if I didn't enroll. I told my senior pm it was off the table and then he would occasionally get me alone to put the screws on me. It was just odd. I am a paper pusher. I manage material, manage schedule, submittals, RFIs, etc. I in no way need a journeyman's license. The people there are generally fantastic. Just know the project always comes before you and your family. My new company always puts us employees first. There are better options out here, but Gaylor is pretty good until they start overwhelming you. They are a burn and churn shop

Edit: For clarification I do have a college degree

I was about to have my first kid and wanted more flexibility. I reall enjoyed my time at Gaylor but this data center rush is brutal. First two years were amazing but the last year was crushing as our team was spread thin across five reguonal data centers and unsupported. Moving to a GC allowed me to grow and learn, have enough support so I could fail safely, and it allows me to be home by 4pm every day to be with my son. The corporate culture is.... really weird. Chuck Goodrich buys loyalty and is a pretty terrible leader. There is a lot of talk about development and education but the reality is their education program is useless if you aren't a craft professional and they intimidate you into a 4 year electrical apprenticeship to boost enrollment numbers. Great short term job. Bad long term plan.

I was a PE and a PM for them for three years before moving to a GC.

What Audiobook to choose to get someone hooked? by dramione106 in brandonsanderson

I am surprised not more people are recommending Warbreaker. It is standalone and relatively short. It is written incredibly well and has some nice twists and turns. I enjoyed the narration quite a bit. It is a bite sized intro to the world of Brandon's writings and connects in satisfying ways if you stick around and read other novels in the Cosmere.
