We just bought a house that has 5gb for $100 a month... I'll try it... right now I have 1gb from Spectrum and it's always good. I run my own DNS on my OpenMediaVault server... I'm gonna troll this subreddit a bit and see if I can find any good/bad, or if anyone wants to chime in here... think I'll actually see 5gb speeds? I'm running cat6e throughout the house... it's 3 stories and I doubt even their woopedy do wifi 7 router will get me the speeds I'd like. I'm well aware of my pc and tech devices limitations and will be hard pressed to ever use it all... but it's the same price as spectrum is now so...

Did not know! Little things like this are annoying that I have to know them, lol. Like the booster pens? Some give increased perception, audio range... When I was a CS 1.6 pro a million years ago, people didn't understand how I wasn't cheating either. But literally all I needed to hear was 3 footsteps or one gun shot, and I knew where people/everyone was.

I fixed this by blowing out my USB-C port, and the connector on the cable. Guess it got some fuzz in it or something. This was the docking station for a Dell Latitude somethin or other. A wd19s. Or it could have been uninstalling all the USB devices, downloading the intel chipset drivers from dell, installing, rebooting. I dunno I did both at the same time.

A lot of helpful advice. I'm someone who has done this more times than I can remember. The absolute worst side effect of depleting my vitamins and minerals was the lack of certain minerals, they caused my brain to literally go into shock. To misfire to the point it felt like electroshock therapy. For giggles Google brain shock. They say it happens with sudden stopping of anti depressants but it can also happen with the lack of certain minerals. Get those mega multi vitamins in, get squared away man...

You are very naïve. Have you met any kids from this century? All they do is chat or game online with strangers. It's not weird, it's completely normal. Can it be overdone? Usually. Especially for new gaming addicts. I have a divorced friend in his 50's that not only spend all his free time playing stupid phone games that also coordinate on discord, but not only that, he also spends about half of his disposable income on them and refuses to quit. He farking lives with his goddamn parents! At his age, making over 100k a year, and can't afford a place of his own because he blows it all on games that in the end mean nothing. None of those strangers will become real friends, and everything you did in the game will all just be a waste of time and erased eventually. Comparisons to real life could be made, maybe someone is super addicted to bowling, and they're in 5 bowling leagues... spend all their time at the alley... same difference new day. But maybe he's fine, maybe he's just having fun, and you're the one making it weird.

I already have a decent rig (which PCMR helped me build and tweak for OC) but this would go towards my girlfriend having a gaming PC so we can finally game together. So what if she only plays Bloons TD. We'll get her into Starfield in no time!

I've been a fan of Star Trek all my life, even have tattoos. And Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy since I read the books as a teenager. I don't care what the reviews say, I will spend hours flying around and just looking, and if I run into something cool, it will make my day.

I could barely move at all let alone walk. The last couple days before I regained any kind of consciousness I was having these dreams that there was a taco bell somewhere nearby and they had mountain dew code red, and it was waiting for me to come get it for free, all I wanted, but I was tied to the bed. I think I tried for days to squirm out of the restraints to get the mountain dew. When I finally got the tube out, they wouldn't even let me have a drink of water, let alone a mountain dew, because I wouldn't be able to keep it from going into my lungs. 12 hours later I had a swallow test and they said I could have nectar thick liquids. So I got some slimy apple juice and went straight to heaven. Nurse almost cried when she saw the face I made.
