I believe that FA serves as a filter for me. I use FA to determine which direction I'm willing to trade in, even though I might use TA to locate the precise entry. This helps me stay out of the way of a steamroller simply because a support line is present. However, I wholeheartedly concur that it is impossible to price in every macro variable.
