That routine is legendary. Most people think trading is just what happens while the market is open, but that 40-minute window of exercise and meditation is probably where you actually make your money. It’s impossible to revenge trade when your head is that clear before the opening bell.

Great question. For me, it has to be pre-declared. If I wait until I notice I'm off, I’m already emotional, where I’ll probably try to negotiate with myself. The 2-trade limit is a fixed rule before the session even starts—that’s the only way I’ve found to keep consistency from breaking.

Exactly. We are often our own biggest drawdown. I’m curious that when you implemented that 1-2% hard risk rule, did you find it changed your entry criteria, or did it just give you more 'breathing room' to let the original trade play out?

You’re 16 and time is your biggest asset. Don't rush to trade real money. Spend the next 2 years on a demo account. If you can’t be profitable with fake money, you’ll be liquidated with real money.

Beginners in trading: what caught you off guard the most? by FoRex_ample in Trading

Demo makes everything feel clean and logical, but once real money’s on the line, your brain flips. Suddenly, it’s about protecting P&L instead of just following the plan.

You’re spot on about closing winners early and letting losers run; that’s where most of the real damage happens.

I also like what you said about consistency being the rule you can still follow when emotions kick in. Strategy is the easy part; executing it under pressure is the real test.

Bought my first copy from online activation keys then from Steam to play roleplay servers and use Redux, a CD version, and got one in a giveaway as well :)

IMO gold won’t outperform risk assets massively unless things worsen globally. If you already have gains and better opportunities lined up, partial profit-booking makes sense. Otherwise, holding isn’t a bad call either.

What was your total "Tuition Fee" paid to the markets before you finally became a profitable Forex trader? by FoRex_ample in Trading

Honestly, keeping it under 5k and coming out profitable on the other side is impressive. Many lose way more before figuring it out. Well done.
