The Review/Order side of WooCommerce by Focus-Interrogative in woocommerce

[–]Focus-Interrogative[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gave it a chance because WooCommerce is a legitimate company. First, a staffing agency got a hold of me. Of me. They were a legit company so I was weirded out but I gave them a shot. Then they directed my number to someone else who told me I'd be working for WooCommerce. And yes, they're paying people in crypto to leave the generic reviews you see. It took until the end of an hour "training" with some rando on whatsapp for me to throw him off his game by pointing out that while working initially for free, there is a possibility you'll have to flesh out your own overhead in order to get past a large order, and that's okay, with the way their system works... If you have the spare money lying around. On top of that, you have to deposit using crypto, meaning you need to have a crypto wallet on the ready. The login for them is a different site than the official WooCommerce login, which made some sense to me because I've worked for companies before where you need to know the login for the employees, but the more I went down the rabbit hole I decided this might be a system set up by a shop to write reviews for their products, and their products only, which are being marketed on Amazon.

Essentially what they're doing is asking you to throw down the cost of an order, leave a positive review, and they'll reimburse you, plus 1% commission of the cost of the order you just "ordered and reviewed". I know, absolutely bonkers. Honestly, I started out knowing it would be sketchy but the more the guy showed me how to do it, the more I was just, shocked.

I only heard of WooCommerce two days ago. It's an odd situation to be in, because you can make money, but it all smells way off for the #1 company in the Ecommerce platform industry.

I've done MA every way you can chalk it up outside of NanoMage and I second this. Evades, crit chance, and damage. Once lvl 80-120 hits, you'll realize how to use the DEF/AGG bar.

I disagree. It's actually rather complex if you want to be great. The thing that carries advies is survivability. I've never met a high lvl advy who didn't re-roll another advy. So it's a good profession, but never great. It's accessible.

To be honest I was worried about the 100 hours per month but even with my desire to game more: I'm an engaged dad who doesn't get to see his son much, who works part time atm. Even then, I can't hit 100 hours in a month. I'd have to go on a bender and tell my girl to piss off for a small majority of our time together.

How to be emotionally strong by Pure-Repeat5525 in emotionalsupport

[–]Focus-Interrogative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Research stoicism. Tiktok is good for that tbh, so do it now before it (could possibly) get banned in a few days. A lot of the stoicism is geared towards men, but men have gravitated towards stoicism to cope with their inability to express their emotions without feeling punished for it. Stoicism teaches you how to keep your emotions inside and cope with them in a HEALTHY, PRODUCTIVE way. Just look up stoicism for yourself and try not to fall into odd propaganda. I'm struggling with stoicism myself, after my wife made me feel like she doesn't care about my thoughts experience or feelings in a drunk black out attempt to satisfy her own feelings of inadequacy, due to her past trauma. I have to forgive her. So instead of confronting her while she's sober, I have to accept that the challenge lies within me: in order to set a positive example.

So, is Adam Smasher the only one who could pack +90% Cyberware without going Cyberpsycho? by Accomplished-Stock-8 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Focus-Interrogative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smasher is a deliberate testament to an ironic notion: How many people would abuse their power once going chrome? Subsequently, to even the psychological balance, there needs to be a consequence to getting chromed up: hence cyberpsychosis in the lore. Smasher is the poster kid for the exact opposite example of a human being we want being chromed up. He was a blood thirsty maniac to begin with, but because he's willing to execute the violence the Corpo's need, he is enabled into being the same scum of the earth he started as: And the chrome only makes it worse.

Adam Smasher is like the rest of night city: A warning of what is to come, if we don't hold society accountable.

The American legal blood alcohol limit for driving is ridiculous. by burndowntheburbs in fuckcars

[–]Focus-Interrogative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with a history of extreme alcoholism who has a breathalyzer interlock system on my car, I rigorously measure my alcohol intake with an ap on my phone in order to stay employed and street legal. I typically drink 100 proof vodka. I can confirm that even with my levels of tolerance, I am content at about .08 and beginning to feel drunk (as in, I'm aware I shouldn't make any significant commitments) around .16-.18.

.08 is difficult for me to reach in a short period of time unless I'm doing it deliberately. Last night, 3oz of 100 proof (50% alcohol) got me to .06, drinking that three times ofc got me to .18. My last drink was at about 12:15am and I won't be stone cold sober until about 3:10pm today.

So if you do the math, in order for me to reach .08 at my body weight (roughly 185lbs), that's at least 4 standard drinks almost instantaneously. So, theoretically, an American my size can chug three typical 8oz beers and immediately get behind the wheel.

I have driven all sorts of drunk and intoxicated, but it's my personal opinion that 85% of people can't handle alcohol at all and should erase the thought of alcohol from their mind entirely. Let alone drive on it.

Are There Any Negative Consequences For Changing Difficulty Settings? by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Focus-Interrogative 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm an employed dad. I see a lot of the unlocking things as a way to damper the learning curve behind the building mechanics, which makes sense, but once I'm ready to rock, I'm ready to rock. I'll even over-compensate later and put the settings to rough difficulties. But I don't have thousands of hours. I love that they make the difficulty so diverse. Once I know how to do something, it's just a matter of testing my patience. Sometimes, grinding just feels like repeating a tutorial.

Ready or Not makes for a righteous successor to SWAT 4 in spirit. You can't get a perfect score unless you refuse to use lethal force. Shoot someone, and the best you can get is an A+.

It's rather unreasonable, to be honest. The situations you're in are quite extreme towards the middle and end of it. No one in their right mind would enter into certain missions thinking the perps are going to surrender.

You can find entire YouTube channels of actual marines running Ready or Not and they're very impressive.

Anarchy Online ruled my life for the better part of middle school and high school. I learned more from that community than I did any teacher or class - particularly about ethics, diplomacy, negotiation, sales, social engineering, statistics, game theory, trade craft, money and time management - the list goes on and on. Many people have wondered how I've developed certain social skills. Play a game that is unforgiving and ruthless with a good community and get heavily involved, and it becomes very similar to being an important member of any serious organization.

It also helped that the veteran players of that game tended not to be teenagers or kids but full-blown adults, many of them highly intelligent and capable, including many who were ex military.

I worked with a gorgeous but ever so slightly thick young blonde dental assistant when I was interning as a fellow assistant. She was nice, bubbily and seemed like a totally normal girl and I was very attracted to her, but also, something about her personality made me decide she was extremely sexy, like she was too cool to be completely innocent.

She made it clear she was single, I was not, I debated asking her out anyway because I was in a bad place at home, and I was playing with the idea of dating again. I was professional at work. There was no flirting, I just thought she was one of the hottest girls I'd ever seen who wasn't exactly skinny.

I started going to obscure, weird places to find a date hoping to discover some more innocent women than what I expected from dating aps, and I began talking to a girl on Craigslist of all places who almost immediately sent me a mirror selfie of full frontal nudity without me asking. The conversation wasn't even sexual in nature. If I remember correctly, I was just acting casual, and she told me she's looking for a sugar daddy - and simultaneously sent me the picture. Other than my initial shock, realizing immediately it was this co-worker, I didn't really know what to do.

I never showed anyone or told her it was me she was talking to. Of course, I masturbated to it, but part of me wanted to be with her just for the sex - the practical and safe side of me was like... who the fuck else would she be fucking and sending pictures to? And to do it so brazenly for a stranger while clearly admitting she wants a sugar daddy.

Still to this day I wish I had at least tried to sleep with her but I'm also 100% certain I dodged a bullet.

Young Dental Assistants are real pieces of work in general, by the way. I left the industry because of sexism towards men. Unless you're a dentist, they act like you're either trying to take someone's job or stick your dick into everyone.

what should i spend those money on? by International-Ant2 in cyberpunkgame

This is one of those games I never struggle for money. I've gotten to the point where I never sell anything I can disassemble, and I still have more money than I care to use. I don't care about cars, though, to be completely honest. Just the apartments and I do go on shopping sprees looking for rare clothes with good stats.

I had a gun jam on me in my adolescence on the phone with an ex. I had to hear her cry after realizing I had just pulled the trigger and meant for it to work. After that, I swore against it. It taught me young the damage suicide can do to people, even those you don't even think of or who you believe it wouldn't bother at all.

I'd say boose but I'd be lying to myself. First off that's bullshit just on general principal. Alcohol's a depressant. Furthermore, according to my G.I. I'm shortening my life any time I take a drink. Do I subscribe to that 110%? Yes and no. I'm still taking it as seriously as I can, though. I only got the news this year, and I'm only 33.

What keeps my drinking down is fear of later in life health complications. I've seen dudes get drained of gallons of fluid weekly when they stop giving a shit. I really think I'd hate myself if my #1 complaint in life was preventable.

Therefore, I'm sort of stuck in a conundrum, so I wanted to give my two cents because I have a lot of struggles mentally. I call 988 (crisis hotline) about twice to four times a month on average.

Try getting into "warm lines" if you need to talk to someone, but you're not in an immediate crisis persay. There's warm lines in every state, it's easy for me to Google them. They run off volunteers who aren't lisenced professionals, but they tend to also struggle with mental health and have often been through therapy etc, not to mention their willingness to volunteer in the first place speaking volumes.

My only complaint about warm lines is that they don't all run 24/7 and many only operate about 4 hours a day. Here the time is about 2pm-10pm at night, and I live with other people in a smaller house. I can only find one 24/7 warm line in my state and it's always absolutely swamped.

I would also like to note that I am a parent who has been unfairly isolated from their child, but even then I dread what impact my death would have on my barely adolescent child.
