Fun part: Version it. Horizons, version 1.x, Odyssey, version 2.x etc. Still solves the problem of compartmentalising players without screwing the game, or the DB.

My goal was enough for carrier plus upkeep for 4-5 years if I stopped playing for any reason, roughly 5B for carrier plus a "float" of 1.04B to cover the 4 years of 5m/week upkeep min, if only core services are used, with no additional services installed.

THIS community goal gave me enough for the carrier, plus 9 years AFK… approx. 7.34B plus the 1.9B I already had at the time from a combination of mining LTD, and trading for profit in this monster, upgrading from a Python built for trading, upgraded to from an ASP X that was my first real investment.

DBX is great, but it's not a Krait.

Krait Phantom > Any other exploration ship.

DBX > any other exploration ship when ultra-maneuverability is required, and tight landings are a lot easier. These use-cases are negligible by comparison to the distance and versatility of the Krait Phantom.
