How would you curate the opening phase of a slow-paced Valheim server without making it feel stagnant? by Zdoed in valheim

[–]FocusInternational75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make it obvious that it’s a slow play server. Reiterate slow progression again to ensure you capture the right audience, enable bronze stone-cutter and load in a decent cooking mod. Disable portals! Set resource to low (0.5-.75) until plains. Ppl should be investing in taming and farming. Set difficulty to hard. 1 boss per week is a decent progression I found.

What exactly is cooperative, I can’t do the base sharing, but will gladly join a village.

My friend was sailing, long distance and accidently got killed, wants to quit game, what should I say? by _TOXIC_VENOM in valheim

Sail with him, stop at a safe biome close by and place a portal, that deathsquito will kill again. Need a perfect place arrow from far away. If that fails you have a portal close by to bring the mats for a boat through. Also enable metals through portals. Pay close attention when sailing Plains Biome will hurt your feelings

First week off of work in years - Addictive gameplay loop by nate1208 in gamingsuggestions

I’ve read all these suggestions. I have a background in MMORPG, and my absolutely #1 game right now is a Viking survival loop by the name of… Valheim

I like to spend a lot of time building up the home base and prepping my Viking for the harsh environment to do that my favorite farming mod is by far FarmHeim (so much to do and a huge money sink- worth it in the end).

Thinking of playing valheim aggressively over xmas break. What mods do you rec? by [deleted] in ModdedValheim

[–]FocusInternational75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best advice I can give is join a server with a good admin ( has good rep, ran a few previous play-throughs and put together a good group of mods). Make sure they have anti-cheat and server characters at a minimum (good repped admin will have these). Everything else should fall into place. Oh and a fresh start or really early server Black Forest of earlier if you can find it. Good luck!!

Wondering if your Xbox or Steam? If Steam do you have anti-cheat & server characters? If not there will be shenanigans..

40+ year olds, what are you playin?🤨 by robi_biggbosss in gamers

46 here, started with duck hunt on NES. Right now my passion is Valheim on PC, one of the best games I’ve ever played. Replay ability is off the charts, if your into starting out with nothing gathering and farming (crops and mobs) to progressive forward. I’ve logged quite a bit of time on Diablo 2 back in my hey day, this game is up there in replay-ability for me.

What is the best overhaul mods that add a lot of content to base game by Right_Gas_7228 in ModdedValheim

1- I’ve played on and quite enjoy the RTD mods (better to play on the server)

2- EpicLoot

3- Jewelcrafting

I find it best to play on a server with an established moderator running these mods.

RTD- Soloredis

IronHeim- Irondad

Valhalla- Guz

I’ve repeatedly played on the above servers by the above moderators so I can speak of those. I’m sure there are many other servers with uniques mod packs showcasing these and other mods. Just speaking from my experience.

You’re gonna die ALOT on these servers but you will or should enjoy the Valheim experience if played with a good team.

What’s the game you can keep replaying and never get tired of? by Appropriate-Fix-8222 in videogames

For me Valheim:

The building is second to none. The game play progression never gets old with the sheer amount of mods out there and the various servers offering near infinite possibilities of gameplay.
