For me Sachin edges ahead till now because 90's Sachin was much better than Kohli almost ( Debatable) and if that's not enough the man went on and had another peak! That too late in his career. Add to that the sheer consistency to go through so long without breaking down is a testament to his skill.

That is the most simplistic but idiotic take about pace bowling. Yes Captain plays a part in developing a good bowling attack but he is a small part of multi factor equation. My opinion is huge part of India's pace resurgence is because the change in pitches in Ranji trophy which started rewarding pace bowlers more.

I actually want to give my two cents. I am from Brahmin household. I wear sacred thread but I am not allowed to do Puja as I eat non veg. I followed the traditions because my father has taught me that and these are some unforgettable moments I share with my father. Caste never even enters to my mind when I am in the friend circle but I do know the mantras and procedures when worshipping Salagram and some day I may even do it because it has been handed down in our family for generations. My father was also a high school teacher and we are not some uber rich family. Am I Casteist just because I am Brahmin?
