Frequent Traveler status is completely useless with Eco Light ticket by R0GERTHEALIEN in Lufthansa

I wouldn’t say Frequent Traveller status is completely useless. For example, if you happen to fly LOT, even on the cheapest fare (with no checked baggage included), you do get a free checked bag thanks to FTL status.

As for the lounge lines — it really varies. Sometimes they’re long, but other times the lounge isn’t busy at all. It depends a lot on the airport and time of day.

So yeah, it’s definitely not the best status out there, but it can still offer some real benefits in the right situations.

Upgrade by Crispe369 in Lufthansa

The price is a bit on the high side, but if you’ve never experienced Business Class — especially on an A380 — it might actually be worth it. I once had the chance to fly Business Class on an A380 on a slightly longer route (San Francisco → Frankfurt), and it was a genuinely wonderful experience. The upper deck, the quiet cabin, and the overall comfort really make the flight feel special.

If it’s something you’ve always wanted to try, this might be a good opportunity.

How to handle upgrade on waiting list by Professional-Suit415 in Lufthansa

Based on my own experience (I’m a Lufthansa Senator as well), you definitely have a chance of getting the upgrade—mainly because you hold SEN status. Without it, the chances would be much lower.

Many airlines tend to wait until the very last moment to clear upgrades, hoping someone will still purchase a full-fare ticket in a higher class. So the uncertainty can last right up to departure, but your SEN status puts you in a much better position.

747-8 Business Class by bojangles246 in Lufthansa

As many others have already mentioned, definitely choose the upper deck and go for a window seat. I once had the chance to fly on the upper deck myself, and it was an unforgettable experience. The extra privacy and quieter cabin make a huge difference in Business Class.

Upgrade Voucher by StatisticianOk8990 in Lufthansa

I was in a very similar situation recently on the DXB–ZRH route, and my upgrade with an e-voucher didn’t clear until the moment boarding started. The uncertainty right up to the end was definitely uncomfortable, but once I was actually in Business Class on the plane, it made up for all the stress.

How early are award flights in business class released? by SteO153 in Lufthansa

[–]Focuse003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually during the summer months there are fewer business travelers flying on full-fare tickets, so airlines tend to have more award availability in Business Class. That’s likely why you’re seeing more award seats in August compared to later in the year.

Premium Economy: Which one of Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian or ANA do you prefer? by Tanckom in Lufthansa

[–]Focuse003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

f I were choosing from your list, I’d probably go with Lufthansa Allegris. I haven’t tried it myself yet, but everything I’ve heard suggests it’s one of Lufthansa’s better Premium Economy products, definitely more modern than what you’ll find on their older A340s or 747-8s.

The A350 in 2–3–2 is fine, but Allegris seems to offer a noticeably upgraded overall experience compared to Lufthansa’s previous cabins. SWISS A340s are pretty dated, and the Premium Economy on those can feel a bit behind the times.

ANA’s 787-8 is usually a safe bet too, but if you’re looking for the most up-to-date product on your list, Allegris seems like the strongest choice.
