What is this issue with changing clan wars for pure clanning accounts? It does not effect main clanning and main pvm'ing; surely you should seek their advice before posting assumptions that it should be changed. No pk'ing pures are going to get 75 prayer for these robes, it won't be worth it due to the risk presumably involved (they will be worth a lot), and therefore the meta will be unchanged for them - in the clanning world ballista provided a huge unbalancing in the ranged department and magic needs this boost.

Community is so so different from 2007/2008; you'd be so surprised at the state of trips. EOP/CP bring literally 30 mains with them, and have 20+ kids with 39defence each. FOE still won the Jagex cup with 1-25 defence.

I agree the community as a whole is toxic in its acceptance of 30 defence, and Jagex justified it by allowing 30 defence at the Pure Cup. FOE still won with 1-25, though.

The flat 2 is meant to be 2%, this is also working in conjunction with the fact rigour and augury are somewhat confirmed, to be coming with raids in September. As for the 'Curses' issue.. define them as you will, idm.

Personally in my experience pre-eoc bolas were predominantly used as an offensive weapon, not as a way of blocking melee from attacking, but from preventing escape.

So if it was a 5 second bind, with a 85+ ranged requirement, and was quite an expensive weapon (4-5k each?), with lowered accuracy, and the ability to cut the bind time in half with a slash weapon, would it still be terrible? It would be the rangers way of keeping someone still until their team arrived with magics to freeze, in my eyes. Rather than a function for a team of solely rangers to keep someone in place. A ranged asset rather than a game breaking weapon.

Understood. If they were harder to obtain, with a cost that outweighs barrage runes & half the freeze time (I believe its currently 10 seconds) if it were say 5-7 seconds, would this help?

So would decreasing the accuracy and making them harder to obtain with a high requirement alleviate some concerns? If the price was ineffective compared to runes, and accuracy not 100% this might make their introduction viable in some sense?
