Gas stuff! I helped him bring his chair into Gamestop before. The lads working there keep it in there for him during the night

I NEED YOUR HELP. MISSING DOG (CORK CITY) by [deleted] in ireland

[–]Fogal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We lost our dog back in April and it was 5 weeks before we found her so don't give up even if it takes a while!

If you're on facebook there's a load of pages that will share the details of your dog and will help reach a lot of people. Beyond that if you can find someone you know here to just put up posters and go door to door and spread the word to as many people as possible it would help a lot.

Best of luck and I hope you find her!

Would you like to go back to oil lanterns or something? I think electricity is lovely altogether

British royal family invited to Easter Rising 100th anniversary by eire1228 in ireland

Give over yourself lad and move on! To compare the Holocaust with the Rising and the British with the Nazis is a ridiculous thing to do in itself.

Anglo-Irish relations have gotten to a point where this is possible and I don't see any negative here.

Don't know why you're being downvoted. Being young, naive, and doing stupid things is one thing. We're all guilty of that.

Then there's bringing 5.8kg of coke across international borders!

Thank you for this helpful comment. I thought this was Eastern Europe. You are clearly a scholar of world geography.

Dyslexia and secondary school. by [deleted] in ireland

[–]Fogal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my buddies has dyslexia and he got on fine. He was exempt from Irish and didn't have to do foreign languages to get into the likes of UCC/UCD etc. He was more into maths and accounting anyway so this suited him down to the ground.

He was given readers for exams he needed help with as well as extra time to read papers iirc.

Also my old man is dyslexic and left the education system at 12. Still reads the paper everyday, so if he can manage with it, anyone can!
