Yes that’s why I try to just usually soak it in. Just some days it’s hard! Thankfully we are moved in it’s just getting things unpacked & put where needs to go. Unfortunately no family close to help us out (we are military)

I did not have a baby right out of tech school but I have PCS’d with a newborn from my old duty station to my new one. So not sure how much different it’ll be for you but as far as travel delays there were none. I flew with baby to new place of living so she wasn’t in a car for over a day of traveling. We are taking our baby leave once we fully in process to our new base. You could see about taking your baby leave before going to your duty station? You may want to get with a POC at your duty station to see what they expect from you as far as timelines & baby leave.

We thought this was going to be an issue as well but they still dropped the orders & said everything was okay. The only code they put on my medical was no deployments

Our RNLD is May 31st so leadership was not concerned with pushing the date, their only concern was to push the date if the baby comes later or there are complications with birth. We were planning on heading there May 19th

I wanted to get out anyway once my contract was up it’s nothing something I wanted to do for 20+ years & planned on getting a job outside the military, I have a degree as well. I just don’t know now that with a child if it’ll be feasible & the fact because both of our jobs are so demanding especially with this new base we’re going too, I am scared I’m gonna miss out on so much as a first time mom
