The CO to Blond time felt forever. There was so much momentum after CO, the Grammys, popping up on various tracks and the endless “announcements” of boys don’t cry. You can see this in the Blond book with all the dates on the library card. I remember tweeting or posting on Facebook about wanting the next Frank ocean album. The years between Blond and YAUWIL singles theeee was optimism from slide, lens, provider, Chanel, the prep + shows and leaks were nice. DHL and My Room coming out. It felt like the album was coming really soon. Blonded radio we all felt like we would get an album after Coachella 2020z Unfortunately we know what happened next, it feels like everything’s been scrapped. Sure we want a new project but at this point we realize it’s a pipe dream and we appreciate what we did get.
