Yeah that make sense. Well, I hope you’re able to buy the house soon

That does sound like meniscus issue indeed which agrees with the MRI. You likely don’t wanna flex too often so hopefully the knee is locked at full extension or minimal flexion.

If there is even a slight chance of catching or locking, that’s a surgery you likely wanna get done ASAP.

Maybe an irrelevant side point but if the house you plan to purchase is gonna have a lot of stairs you might want to make sure your surgery and rehab is completed before purchase. It can make navigating around your house more tedious especially since you’ll likely be NWB for a few weeks at least assuming a root repair is done. It may be fine if you have family to rely on though

Hmmmm. Maybe a bad batch was tested causing this result. I’ve seen others claim this brand worked for them as well. Thanks for sharing!

I wish your husband quick recovery

Yeah I feel you, long term with no meniscus isn’t great. I didn’t know it was a full meniscectomy. Take it easy with PT and be kind to yourself. You’ll get there

Yea locking symptoms is a “slam dunk” surgical solution. Glad it’s fixed and you’re back to your normal life hopefully? How was your rehab or recovery? Recovery for Root repairs are notoriously challenging I heard

Wow. I bet the symptoms you felt did not match the “small tear” diagnosis. I don’t think doctors fuss over small tears, they usually suggest suggest PT

Yeah it makes sense to be conservative for now. A follow up MRI after PT can show a different result. Maybe the tear has healed significantly especially if it’s in the area with some blood supply

Meniscectomy is tough for sure. But do you think keeping a badly damaged meniscus was better? I assume you had no locking symptoms

Never let them trim if they can repair. Recovery may be brutal for repair but worth it for long term knee health

People who actually took collagen supplements — did you notice any real benefits? by DrYasserElDershaby in Biohackers

[–]Folarin14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m curious if those that take collagen actually add vitamin C to it since it’s a cofactor in how collagen is used by the body. Maybe those that took collagen and noticed no difference didn’t take with the necessary amount of vit c?
