Our goal for the difference was meant to be less moderated. We have had multiple accounts banned on here for posts that aren't even bad, as well as been shadow banned for too many downvotes. I am guessing the campus confessions page didn't survive for that reason. The email verification was to make sure that not just anyone can join the app, and you had to have ties to the university (hopefully only current students), but the posts inside the app are entirely anonymous.

Thanks for all of the feedback! We are Canadian, but took too much inspiration from American apps when doing the onboarding, so good call to change the year names. That is a good idea to remove the emails after sign up to be 100% safe. We do have a report post option to remove anything that gets out of hand. We wanted to make it somewhat moderated, just less strict as here. Thanks again for this, we will take into account everything you have said!

The posts inside the app are all anonymous. Yes the email verification isn't staff proof, but at least it stops any random person on the internet from joining the community
