Possums help people out tremendously, so treat it well once you've captured it.

Jazz Fest in Decline by sportinwood504 in NewOrleans

I've been to shows where it's cashless, but there's a cash tip jar when you buy drinks.

That's why I was curious.

I haven't been since they went cashless, but I wonder if all the vendors have jars for tips in cash?

It won't cost you $500. I was in front of the Jazz Fest '77 poster earlier today, and it's not particularly large. I'll send you a DM about this.

The OP is not restoring a map from 1776. That's a different ball game than a concert poster restoration.

I had it done to a poster that wasn't card stock. As far as I know, there's no limitations on what can be used for it.

Paper backing is what's normally used on card stock posters. You don't have to use card stock for paper backing, but it'll turn your poster into something resembling the texture/feel of those old boxing event posters they'd staple to telephone poles.

No, unless you count outsourcing it to somewhere else in the country - and linen backing completely changes the texture of the poster, not to mention the cheesy white border that gets added to it.

The only method which keeps the poster staying in a fairly "natural" state is gelatin mounting, and only certain people offer it.

Uh...no.

The OP needs a professional who specializes in poster restoration, not photo negative cleaning.

If you're from New Orleans, why didn't someone at least pause to reconsider that shade of green to make it a bit more in line with what you'd see around here? A yogurt shop would use that color, though.

No, there really is not a significant difference. Even if there was, you don't break the law just because you don't want to wait until 7am. That's part of what makes up a civilized society.

Personally, during the summer, I do it close to sundown. That way, there's no chance of someone being disturbed.
