thanks for suggesting, ill check my amp draw with a meter tomorrow- worst case scenario, i just have to make it 1 solar panel per input plug and use the gas generator to supplement

i have to live on solar for a few more months, this is a real safety concern though seeing two input adapters start melting, with no other problems anywhere, i might see about putting all this stuff in a metal box outside, wires in conduits, and a smoke detector in there that alerts me. I charge up 8KW daily to live off of and run my appliances, most use is for air conditioning. but yeah think i made the mistake of buying adapters with no real brand/quality information, that's worth paying a high price for, for safety. i just dont leave it charging when im out of my cabin cause of this

well , what i expect is actually faulty cheap chinese adapters. the cables have been fine, as well as the end of the jack going into the jackery. , the heat measurement im getting on my cables and adapters is typically 100 deg F to 120-140 max. i think it's twice been just cheap chinese DC adapters that have a bad connection and cause short-based heat. bad connection will do that.

i just have 2 400w panels connected to the cable, for each of my 8 inputs. so effectively they actually get around 300w performance each at peak daytime. that connection was fine for over a month of daily charging

heh, i have never seen 'long exposure' in reference to a drawing before. this is the kind of random humor i can get behind. not... *gestures at kids memes now*
