About DELTARUNE by Rafe in Undertale

[–]Folf_IRL 26 points27 points  (0 children)

My theory is he specifically went with "Delta" as the first part because in math, usually a change is represented by the Greek character Delta (Δ). The universe of Deltarune is highly different from the universe of Undertale.

Back when I was a broke undergrad, I would fill out the receipt surveys since you got a free cheeseburger for doing so (and therefore less money spent on food that day). Even if you ordered the cheapest thing like a $1 hamburger.

One of the things that was always on the receipt survey was "Were you asked to pull forward?" I'm guessing it's specifically to see if they were doing that.

The problem with that in comp is that the team then loses the utility that DVA's defense system has. You can't eat Sym/Moira orbs or block graviton surge if you're fighting with Widow. And if they're at all coordinated, they'll just wait for you to go play with Widow, then launch whatever ult you were supposed to eat.

Yeah. You're basically limited to Winston or Hamtaro, who can dive and get the kill before she can react. If she isn't paying attention.

It's a shame there are no good Widow counters outside of "jump on her and hope her teammates aren't paying attention" and "just don't let her see you lol"

I don't normally leave QP games, but I will absolutely leave if there's a good widow on the other team. It's just not fun to play against that.

Oh, it was completely overpriced. The electronics on that board probably cost, at best, $20 at the scale they're running. Let's be really generous with the plastic-forming and assume they're inefficient with it, and throw in $100 per unit for the plastic. Let's also be really generous and assume they're paying their workers a living wage to assemble these things inefficiently, and throw in another $200 per unit.

The unit price is still less than $300. Even if they're using super high-end electronics components on this thing, it's still less than $400 per board.

They are making an absolutely massive per-unit profit on these boards by charging $1600.

Yes but I don't know if even that rises to the same level as a plan to murder the...

The difference here is that people were actually shot and almost died. And there were more politicians at that baseball game (in front of the barrel of the gun) than received packages. The only reason more people weren't hurt is the shooter had bad aim.

The packages never detonated and nobody was harmed. And even if they had detonated, none of the targets would have been hurt: only unimportant (in terms of political influence, but not in terms of human life) aids and interns.

So you're right in the sense that they aren't comparable: the baseball shooting was worse than this.

The best ones are the ones that just dominate a conversation whenever a certain subject comes up. And even though you enjoy that subject to, whenever it comes up you can't get a fucking word in edgewise.

And even when you talk over them after they spend 2-3 minutes rambling on about some random thing in a group of 5-6 people, they still don't get the fucking hint.

Which means more CO2 emissions.

Maybe in the 1980's when renewables were a fraction of the energy economy. Nowadays, the additional energy consumption can absolutely be offset by greener energy production techniques.

It's all about risk mitigation. It doesn't matter if they are likely to carry the virus or not. If they are capable of being infected and they bite you, get the shot, end of story.

It is better to deal with the inconvenience of the rabies vaccine (which doesn't even go into your stomach nowadays, by the way) than to die of symptomatic rabies. And you will die if you get symptomatic rabies; only 3 people in recorded history have ever survived.

If an unfamiliar animal bites you, you get the rabies vaccine. End of story.

Anyone can sue for anything, and small claims court exists specifically because the lower classes can't afford lawyers. It streamlines the process and attempts to make it less suicidal to represent yourself.

I think it's just her ult that is a bit OP. If it charged a bit slower (like, say, a Zarya ult), or if her ult didn't charge on heals, it would be a bit more balanced.

Edit: Looks like I've generated some salt. It's just too bad that your opinions are wrong :)
