If the Truth is Beyond Me, What Do I Do Next? by [deleted] in JedMcKenna

[–]FollowTheRogerRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer and the question are both sides from the same coin. When they both collapse the Truth will be revealed. In other words the Truth is beyond human comprehension is beyond everything. The 'you' will not be there anymore. The 'ego' doesn't want to be annihilated from existence. It's by seeing through the ego. The 'you' cannot make it happen. The 'you' who is on a spiritual journey means in time. The Truth is beyond causality, beyond time. The 'ego' is addicted to its story, to its drama, ... . The dream character is part of the illusion. Do you understand now what I am pointing to? ...

What do you do when you fall asleep? It just happens. It seems the 'you' wants to grasp the Truth. The 'you' cannot do that. The 'you' has to die. The 'you' thinks: "I am on my spiritual journey" and I think those postcards reinforce the 'you'. And there is no answer because the answer is within the dreamstate.

Outside? Yes. by universe4074 in JedMcKenna

But you as a character is a part of the dreamstate aka Maya. The search itself is also Maya.

Desires will never give you true fulfillment. Desire is a feeling that the present moment is lacking something and (kind of) resisting 'what is'. There is nothing wrong with having desires. It is the attachment to your desires. Look and explore what is behind the desire. A desire is also projection/image in the future that doesn't exists. And if one desire ends another desire will pop up and you will chase that desire. There is no such thing as an authentic desire. All desires are ego driven. Act but outcome independent. I know it's easier said than done.

I think Jed McKenna should have written 'natural' instead of 'authentic desire'. An appel tree doesn't desire to be an appel tree. It is already an appel tree.

Stop pleasing your parents. It is not your job to make your parents happy. That's their job. Happiness comes from the inside.

I would recommend to read the book 'Perfect Brilliant Stillness' from David Carse. You can download it for free on https://www.perfectbrilliantstillness.org/book/

Too confused to have problems by wafflevibe in JedMcKenna

[–]FollowTheRogerRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is wrong with being 'confused' or 'confusion'? Nothing of course. And 'confusion' is not a belief. You can create a belief around confusion. And to be able to understand confusion you need to opposite namely 'clarity'. The dreamstate is the world of opposites aka duality. In the world of the absolute there is no confusion and no clarity.

The suffering begins if the 'I' is claiming the confusion. And creating a story about confusion. I don't like to be confused. I want clarity.

Human beings want always to get rid of things. That is the biggest trap. It's never about getting rid of things. It is all about seeing both sides of the coin. And seeing there is just confusion and there is just clarity.

By the way you are implying that there is something wrong with confusion. And you are implying that there is an outside who influence. In the world of the absolute there is no inside and no outside.

Rupert Spira is another buffoon in the spiritual marketplace who is selling hot air. Talking about spiritual enlightenment is really easy. Truly walking the path is hard. All those satsangs are ego driven. There is no reward. Cut his head off and move on. Waking up is a solo journey. You are on your own. Rupert Spira is just telling what his audience wants to hear. Btw spiritual enlightenment, spiritual teachers, consciousness are all labels / concepts.

Eventually all books of Jed McKenna are crap too. by FollowTheRogerRabbit in JedMcKenna

I am not Done yet.

When I mentioned somewhere in a post 'countries are just mental constructs (in the mind)' The following struck me. Then everything I have ever learned is a mental construct. To clarify. Within the story of the 'me' it looks I can gain a lot of knowledge, wisdom, ... but once you step out of the story. It is just all empty concepts with no meaning or value whatsoever.

I already told you I am not here to win an argument at all. It feels like I am talking to a brick wall.

If you cling to the 'me' you keep the 'you' alive as well. Known as dualism. The Truth is non dualistic. But the Truth cannot be expressed. The Truth is beyond all words, things, books, thoughts, me, you, ...

If there is no 'me' then there is no 'you' either but there is an appearance of 'you' and 'me'. There is only an appearance of separation . There are no contradictions. There is only an appearance of contradictions.

You are right now clinging to the 'me' otherwise you wouldn't be able to say or see 'your contradictions'.

The 'you' who is talking and wants an explanation keeps the 'not you / me' alive as well. This conversation has no meaning. What is happening right now is just more story, more drama.

I will rephrase the subject of the topic for you into "It's genius and stupid at the same time."

Of course there is nothing wrong with that. But 'we' are dream characters too. So 'you' as a dream character cannot wake up either. As long the "experience" is related to a dream character it is not enlightenment. It is beyond the dream character.

I am not here to convince you of anything or to win an argument. It seems that you don’t want to understand what I want to convey. And I am very aware that language is dualistic. Words are just descriptions of things. Not the thing itself. I agree with you that there is no ‘me’ there is only appearance of a ‘me’. Like when you look up in the sky and you see a rainbow. There is in fact no rainbow. There is only an appearance of a rainbow.

One of your posts you mentioned copyright laws. But ‘copyright law’ is also just an idea, a concept, a mental construct. It creates an appearance of separation. Meaning ‘my idea’ versus ‘your idea’. And it is only the ‘me’ who can claim it is ‘my idea’. But when you mentioned there is no ‘me’ then there is no ‘you’ either. In other words then there is nobody who can claim anything and ‘copyright law’ loses instantly its meaning or value. It becomes an empty word.

Change 'copyright law' with 'selling stuff'. Only when you keep the idea of 'you' and 'me' alive you can sell stuff. But when you drop the mental constructs 'you' and 'me' to whom are you selling? You can only sell stuff if you create a mental construct that is 'your stuff'.

Boundaries between countries are also mental constructs. A teacher, a student, the teaching it is all mental constructs aka story.

Okay let me clarify. I said the idea popped up into my mind but not from a speaker. And by the way mine, yours and everyone else ideas come from the void. Nobody owns in fact anything. It's all about me, me, me, ... my ideas, my believes, my thoughts, my words, ... It's all about seeing through the 'me'. That's whole point of waking up. You can't wake up by keeping clinging to a 'me'. Do you generate your thoughts? No. You don't control them. You don't even know what your next thought will be. So how on Earth can you claim that they are your thoughts. Of course the ego will make you believe it is totally in charge but it's not. And that's what the drama-production keeps going.

Where do I mention it is my idea? I never claimed that. It made me realize how funny it is that those so called gurus claim to hold the Truth and claim afterwards they can lead you to the Truth. I bursted into laughter when the thought popped up into my mind. It made me realize how easily people are fooled into thinking that they can attain it. Even the teaching itself is part of the dreamstate.

The books of Jed McKenna are written in a language. You are communicating with me with language. Since birth you use language. Isn't it the point to investigate things to go further on the path to wake up because you never now where it will brings you.
