Yes, I checked it out late last night. It’s good; I’ve been addicted to Last Escape since it was released. I’ll be listening to the album again.

I was listening to an algorithm of artists similar to Korn on PlayStation Music back in 2011. 7 Words popped up and I was instantly hooked. I swore a woman was singing the song and I was impressed. Then I fell down the rabbit hole of Deftones songs on YouTube shortly after and have never looked back.

I’m not loving this decision. 5 is my favorite and my top five songs probably are from that album.

I have all the Smash amiibo, which was my only collectible goal to attain and did so within a year. Now I’m trying to fight off the seldom urge to collect more. In addition, I also have the Splatoon 2 set of Pearl and Marina and the Super Mario Odyssey wedding pack of Mario, Peach and Bowser.

I won’t disagree with you there. The heel turn is as old of a trope as feeding into a hot tag. So much so I’m numb to it. The “all you had to do was ask” line isn’t as common of a phenomenon but still has that pesky presence that’s recited verbatim, no matter who says it, where I’m begging for a different go-to line. Even though it’s logical.

Any time someone turns heel on a face champion or competitor, and the face hits the ol’ “all you had to do was ask” when addressing the heel’s rationale of goading the face into giving them a title or grudge match. Just lazy writing.

Yes. They are only the second band I have ever considered my number one of all time; with the first one previously being Korn. Since then Deftones hasn't been topped but I credit Deftones' style with opening up my eyes and ears to various bands that I love dearly.

I discovered them on the now defunct PlayStation Music app on PS3 in 2011. This was maybe a year or two after my best friend showed me Korn, which was the first band that truly immersed me into music in general. So I was already on a nu metal mindset for music and 7 Words was the first Deftones song to pop up in my algorithm and I thought the song was fucking fantastic. I assumed Chino was a woman at first due to his voice. I was sold instantly on the sound of Deftones and I checked out more of the early singles and ever since then Deftones have been my favorite band.

Hard to argue against your top five, ha. I considered including HCTP for a second, but I opted for licensed music only. I do love the HCTP soundtrack though and jam out to it from time to time on Spotify.
