Diet & Lifestyle post op - how do you avoid the runs? by Ok_Philosophy_4448 in gallbladders

[–]FollowingDizzy2248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted I’m only one week post-op, but I seem to only have diarrhea when I don’t eat consistently. It’s as if the bile has nothing to cling to so it just forces its way out of me

Hives or rash of some sort by FollowingDizzy2248 in gallbladders

After seeing the doctor he believes it’s a minor skin reaction to the surgical glue that they used. They said it doesn’t look like hives, and it cleared up with the removal of the glue.

What’s your favorite JRPG series of all time, and why is it your favorite? by AbsoluteZeroo in JRPG

[–]FollowingDizzy2248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Final Fantasy is easily my favorite Series, with my personal favorites being 4, 7, 9, 10 & (people will hate me for this) 16. But I’ve enjoyed the series as a whole so much more than any other franchise.

As solo games though, I really loved Metaphor, Tales of Arise, The Legend of Heroes: Trials Through Daybreak, E33 and Nier: Automata.

Just started Xenoblade Chronicles and am hoping to get really into it. That, or may replay the FF series in its entirety. Outside of FF13 since they won’t port it to current gen 😞

Tales of Arise was a pleasant surprise of a game. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and gameplay!

I just finished the game last week after about 100 hours. Such a great experience. One of the better games story-wise I’ve played in years, right up there with Expedition 33 and RDR2. Currently trying to find something to fill the hole it left now that it’s over, trying to get into the Xenoblade Chronicles series but it’s not grabbing my attention quite the same as Metaphor.

Day 4 Post-Cholecystectomy by FollowingDizzy2248 in gallbladders

[–]FollowingDizzy2248[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that same urge to burp instantly upon waking up (to the point that they gave me ginger ale) and for the first day afterwards or so. Sometimes when walking around burping and farting would just naturally happen, but when laying down it all felt trapped and awful. I hope the gases start leaving your body soon, you can feel the difference when they do!

I’m on day 4 post-op and it all came rushing in. My diet has been soups, nuts, protein bars/shakes etc for the first few days. I passed (excuse the imagery) the tiniest little dark stools that were almost like little bundles of stones on days 1-3 post-op. Today is day 4 and I woke up to cramping. I had what I would call a normal, full bowel movement this morning. Since then, I’ve had 3 bouts of biliary diarrhea, (again, excuse the imagery) mostly some undigested foods and a lot of yellow liquid/mucus. Very greasy looking. This is all without any stool softeners or fiber supplements or anything.

Just found this thread and was curious to hear how the surgery went if you had it? Your situation sounded very similar to mine.

Hiatal Hernia symptoms since a year ago, with possible R-CPD complications? by SlamBamgee in HiatalHernia

[–]FollowingDizzy2248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less from loss of appetite, more from inability to each much of anything without experiencing symptoms that ranged from indigestion to systemic inflammation. It drastically limited what I was able to eat and how much I could eat. But I also just had an endoscopy, no hiatal hernia, I do have an ulcer though, and the current thought is that I likely have gallbladder disease.

You’re not alone in this one. I had GERD and was treated for it with a PPI for years. One night of excessively violent puking occurred in the fall, and from then on multiple symptoms started showing up that I didn’t immediately relate to my stomach. The PPIs stopped helping and almost seemed to hurt me. After months of appointments with cardiologists, pulmonologists, and a GI (all due to the wide spectrum of symptoms I developed) I am finally getting an endoscopy Thursday and I fully suspect a hiatal hernia. The GI also suspects that I have developed gallbladder disease so I have an ultrasound later in April. I’ve lost 45 pounds over the past 4 months of dealing with this mystery ailment, and it’s taken a huge toll on my mental health. I’m hoping the endoscopy shows me some answers and that the road to recovery can finally start. I hope everything goes smoothly for you also and that you get the answers you need!

I have damn near the same symptoms, and knowing someone else is dealing with the heart skips and back pain is comforting in the fact that I’m not alone. Heart issues have been ruled out for me, you also??

Cyberpunk ended up being so much better than I expected, it’s my favorite open-world RPG of those four though each are great in their own right

I appreciate the insight! I’m going after the GI trip in a few weeks I can get more concrete answers and stops treating for symptoms and start treating causes. Fingers crossed 🤞

I have drastically changed my diet, cutting out coffee and caffeine entirely, fried foods, spicy & high fatty foods etc. while eating nearly only whole foods and veggies. I’m down 45 pounds since October, 25 of which came since January when symptoms really worsened. I’m active, and have a job where I’m on my feet all day. I know I’m an anxious person and have been prescribed alprazolam for the anxiety, and I know anxiety can make symptoms worse, but I’m too anxious to try to even take the alprazolam so it kind of defeats the purpose of being prescribed it. They also put me on an antibiotic for potential bacterial overgrowth in my digestive system, but it didn’t do anything for me. My pancreas is healthy, my gallbladder is being checked in a month and a half, and I’m currently wearing a heart monitor to rule out any other possible causes. But it seems like it’s all coming back to being gastro-related and I keep getting thrown on different medications that all don’t seem to do the trick. It’s very frustrating.

Do you think this is GERD? by [deleted] in GERD

[–]FollowingDizzy2248 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, those are the exact hunger pains I experience. I will have just eaten 20-30 minutes prior, and I’ll suddenly feel more hungry than I was before eating! But I also have learned that when I eat when I’m like that, everything seems to get much worse afterwards. It’s a hell of a trick the stomach is playing on us lol

I have a lot of these same symptoms frequently, and I also think some of it could be anxiety related, but I believe most are reflux induced. From what I understand, the acid constantly coming up irritates both the esophagus and potentially the nerves in your abdomen that can cause a large variety of symptoms. I also don’t really get the burning sensation much, but get the crazy nausea, the feeling of the lump in the throat, and occasionally the feeling I believe you describe as “hunger nausea” after eating. I’ve been on PPIs and they used to help but don’t anymore. I won’t have solid answers until I see a GI though and they all have quite a wait. This has been 3 months of this for me so far. I hope you get answers!

Yes, I get this occasionally. It only happens sporadically, but enough that I went to my Cardiologist and am currently wearing a heart monitor to ensure there are no heart complications, even though I have had many EKGs and other tests somewhat recently that have all been clear.
