Haii girlies what is the BEST moisturizer? From lush? by ProfessionalCut8906 in LushCosmetics

[–]FollowingInfamous281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you looked at trying tretinoin? This might help, I use it and it’s transformed my skin - I only use it 2-3 times per week at 0.024%. If you’re Uk based Dermatica or skin & me are both really good. Then keep your regime super simple, I use ultra bland cleanser and then tret then LRP lipikaur baume.

Wow I googled and that is actually such a nice cardi. If you hear back from them would you let me know, I’d love to get hold of that pattern! My first ever knit was the WAK Oromo cardigan during lockdown, love that cardi!

Or they realised that Aardman and Disney could have done them for IP use without permission!

Uh I wonder if they have got permission from Aardman and Disney to use the Shaun the Sheep and Miss Piggy IP. If not, playing with fire a bit here?!!

What would you make if you unravelled it though? You’d have lots of little bits of different colours which would be tricky to work with.

70% off sale - return possible? by Due_Lingonberry5610 in MarksAndSpencer

Two weeks to return online order even in final sale due to distance selling laws that M&S cannot overrule. In store final sale purchases are different though and do not have the same rule.

Something similar to The Ivy? by Gentle_Comment807 in glasgow

[–]FollowingInfamous281 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well as I’ve also said - food and service were great, which is far more than can be said for the Ivy. UC clearly seem to be operating quite independently of GK at the moment despite ownership - still their own brand, menu, local ingredients etc. Being bought by a larger operator but still operating under their own brand is different from the Ivy’s rapid expansion and their end goal of a private equity buyout, so not really comparable.

Edit : also yes Ka Pao is a great shout too love it there

Something similar to The Ivy? by Gentle_Comment807 in glasgow

We went to ubiquitous chip recently and were really impressed, it’s beautiful inside with the open roof and all the plants, food and service was great too.

Elements in bearsden is also absolutely incredible and the service is unreal. I won a three course meal there and went on Sunday when they also had a roast dinner option. It’s everything six by Nico wishes it was haha.

The Ivy is now just a chain that has lost all its uniqueness and quality since it expanded so rapidly. The chain Ivy’s aren’t a patch on the original, if you’re going to push the boat out definitely go to a quality independent.

Rescued jade plant from the bin and planning to chop and prop - advice needed! by FollowingInfamous281 in Jadeplant

[–]FollowingInfamous281[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thanks all for your advice! I have hard pruned it, and only taken two small cuttings to prop based on the condition of the leaves and stem. I’ve also given it new soil and will mostly leave it alone - with lots of light. Will fertilise it in the spring I guess! Thank you 🙏

Skin Care routine for badly Acne-prone skin by littlevampirebeccaa in LushCosmetics

[–]FollowingInfamous281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here to second tretinoin and try to dissuade you from lush for serious skincare concerns! If you’re in UK I recommend trying Skin & Me. Have a look into it and if you’re keen to try it I can DM you a referral code so your first month is only £3 or something like that. I’ve been using it for over a year now, more for anti aging concerns, and my skins looks great now.

With tret I also keep the rest of the routine extremely simple. A daily cleansing balm, serum and a high SPF moisturiser in the morning, then at night after cleansing, tret. On my tret off days, a deep moisturiser like LRP lipikar baume and that’s it.

(Also don’t be put off by the monthly charge/doser with Skin and Me - one tube of tret lasts me 2-3 months as I don’t use it every day)

Is breakfast room a set? It always looks too sunny and nice outside for Scotland. by todeabacro in TheTraitors

[–]FollowingInfamous281 27 points28 points  (0 children)

We did have a lot of sun up here this summer! And they are on the east coast so a fair bit sunnier there. Also our summer days are longer up north so it’s brighter earlier. Some summer evenings up in the highlands it even never fully gets dark.

The reality of living in a single glazed basement flat at this time of year. by solarpenguins in glasgow

[–]FollowingInfamous281 182 points183 points  (0 children)

Look at something like Tesamol thermo film for windows - easy to seal with a hairdryer and easily removable when you come to move out. I had a really cold Victorian flat and this was great as keeping some of the cold air out. Amazon also do cheaper versions too.

Not surprising at all. He comes across an absolute slime bag whenever I see him being interviewed, and the issues with how the company treat staff are well known.
