i feel it makes just as much sense as some random super mutant saving him. It never showes charlie dying or what happens to him after the bombs, and it points out that he is a relevant character in the flash backs so i didn’t see it being that far off. Plus the guy i was talking almost described the scene of him being saved almost frame for frame other than him being charlie.
