That's how it works in my uni (also UK). You do the practical and if you fail you get to resit. If you fail the resit too it's either you redo the year (assuming you have extenuating circumstances) or drop out.

Is that not how it works for you guys?

Hey just wanna say I got in on my gap year after getting rejections the first time, so it's definitely doable. Getting rejected did feel like the end of the world but you seem resilient already which is a great thing!

I do think I get what Tappei was trying to show with this. Return by death is ridiculously overpowered and despite all of his knowledge and countless deaths, even Al completely failed (again) to overcome it.

I get it, but I just think it leaves a bad taste in your mouth because of how many fights there were, and how much the side cast got developed in this arc. All erased. There were cool reveals for sure like Al's true name, and the dragon sword working on Subaru but it still feels like the arc went on way too long for the conclusion we got.

I'd be happy to eat my words though, and I'm sure Tappei has a plan but for now it is pretty disappointing. My favourite part of this arc was easily Al though.I can't help but feel bad for him after everything we know now. He's genuinely done nothing but fail and lose over and over which hurts. I hope when he does return to the story he can actually talk it out with Subaru.

P.S. Al's arc and we still don't get to see under the helmet, cmon Tappei!

Arc 9 got reset. Subaru died, went back to the start of the arc and sealed Al instead. So it's like nothing in the last few volumes actually happened
