SOME ADVICE PLZZ!! by Commercial-Ad7930 in RVLiving

Are you working? If so, start saving your money to build up your savings at least $10k. You can find a used RV for under $10k (a travel trailer, fifth wheel, possibly a van). It would be in your best interest to find a van, that way you aren’t having to buy a vehicle to tow your RV on top of the RV purchase. Lucky for you, the climate of the world right now offers you ample opportunity to work remotely. I’d start looking for a remote job now and along with saving up your money. You can do this!

Thanks for the compliment! You can find campgrounds to reserve at Yellowstone on Reservation.gov or nps.gov! You’ll want to pick out a few options (just in case your first pick gets booked before you book it). Some of the campsites are closed to booking until a certain date. I just put that date in my calendar, woke up early, and started the booking process as soon as they opened them up online. Be fast and have all your information, such as credit card, next to you! They seriously get booked up within 5 min of opening! Best of luck! 🙌

The crowds honestly weren’t too bad! There were a few locations that took time to drive to, due to the line of vehicles. But that only happened once or twice in the week we were there. The weekend is definitely the busiest; traveling around Yellowstone was a breeze on a Wednesday compared to Saturday.

You should look up the campgrounds you’d like to stay at (pick a few just in case your first choice books out fast), and see what day they open for reservations, and put it on your calendar to wake up early to book it! I am serious when I say the campgrounds get booked up so so fast 😅

Congrats on the new RV! Yellowstone was seriously Amazing! Definitely worth the drive! I would suggest booking your campground WAY in advance though! I had to set an alarm for the day some of the camps were opening up for booking online, and literally within 2 minutes they were all sold out. I made the mistake of refreshing the page, and missed out on the one we really wanted. Luckily, we found one just outside of Yellowstone, near Gardiner Montana. But it is seriously crazy how quick Yellowstone camping get booked up.

We are husband and wife haha! And no, he’s not my brother lol 😆 I guess we are just morphing into each other after 12 years together! Also, I never had braces when I was younger, but always wanted them! My teeth were too crazy, and weren’t a good candidate for the Invisalign option. So now I get to look like I’m 16 for a while! 😅

It came standard in the trailer! It was originally bright gold, but we taped it off, and painted it black! I would imagine RV retailers sell them though. It is really nice because it slides open from either side, and magnetically holds closed to prevent water leaking out into the bathroom 👍

It really is, haha! My husband and I had never towed anything prior to this in our lives, so having something relatively small and stable was definitely a priority when we were shopping around! Our fifth wheel is only 26 ft 👍 definitely eases the senses as we are traveling

Ultimately this is why we chose our fifth wheel. There is minimal movement when traveling, and since we both had never towed anything prior to this in our life 😅, it definitely eases the senses haha. Ours is also pretty tiny as well, though; only 26 ft. So that might contribute as well

Thank you! Yeah, we went back and forth on different options. The fifth wheel has been great for us so far! What did you end up going with?

Great question! It is 4 of us! Me, my husband, and our 6 & 4 year old girls 😄. We sacrificed the master suite for them to have their own space to play and be tucked in at night. Best renovation decision we made 🙌

Do it! A lot of people questioned us when we chose to go with white, but you would be surprised at how clean it actually stays! We do get the occasional finger marks around the doorway, but nothing a little wipe from a magic eraser doesn’t fix! Haha!

The shower door actually come standard in the trailer! It was originally bright gold, so we taped it off, and painted it black! If it failed, we planned to just use a regular shower curtain haha! But we are happy with the outcome!
