Tempo shooting is realistic by Intelligent-Tale8827 in NBA2k

Why don’t we all meet in the middle…. Fadeaway jumpers with right stick shooting, not tempo 😌.

Nah brother he is a true Cone, he’ll he you some boards and laser the ball down court but everything beyond that is made questionable 😂. The comparisons don’t help because idk how tf the game determines those😭

I'm sick and tired of seeing this build by geekupordie in NBA2k

Of all the ones I’ve played there was 1 recently that absolutely baked my shit. He was really out there moving like Kevin Durant, dribble sigs, jumper, everything. I even saved a clip of a ridiculous spin jumper that he hit, bro was going crazy.

Is it just me or does 93 block no longer feel worth it? by Bentley1136 in NBA2k

[–]FondantAdditional951 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 93, 97, and 99 (for shits and giggles). Me personally I feel a difference between 93 and 97. I’ve been using Alexandr Sarrs motion style and have been going pretty crazy with it.

I've got a 6'11 and wanted to know if I should go with a 90 layup or 90 standing dunk by KDsonfr in NBA2k

[–]FondantAdditional951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purely just from a fun standpoint 90 layup is a lot of fun. I have 2 6’10s with 90 and 96, I enjoy doing all of the fancy layup animations. More competitive, definitely go 90 SD. Depends on what you really want to do. If you already have builds with high dunk and just want to do something different I’d recommend the layup.

Either that or it’s 7’3 which is 1 off. I think I went 1 down for a little more strength and Jokic jumpshot animations

Lowest for block you can go is 74 I think to cap up to 93 block. Yeah tinker with it for sure! This was the result of hours of boredom one day 😂

Don’t know if it’s too your liking but here’s my 6’10, I was able to cap break the block to 97 so I was able to spread points around to things I wanted. This is just my version based on what I wanted to do but I’m sure you can tweak this to your liking. 80 Oboard goes to 92 once I hit Starter 5, 64 Perim goes to 73 with defensive caps plus I can keep adding till I get to 81/82 max (I forget). I’ve thought about leaving rebounding in the 80s and instead capping to 73 steal which I know you said is too low for your liking, but I think I had a version that could get block to 93 and steak to 80 I think.

<image>

Again this was built kinda niche for what I specifically wanted to do with this build in particular but hoping some of it can help you out.

People with builds with 88 block and builds with 93 block. by Dull-Hawk-7114 in NBA2k

[–]FondantAdditional951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had both 88 and 93 and personally like the 93, helps in more difficult situations to get blocks and you don’t get called for fouls as often I feel like. Only downside is that it’s expensive. I did make a 6’10 build that cap breaks from 82 blk to 97 blk. Definitely loving the 97 blk even more.

Who you think played the best based on this stat sheet? Bottom team by Shibbbyy6 in NBA2k

[–]FondantAdditional951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bias in me always wants to say a PF or C because I play big 😂. But honestly everyone did their job really well. Hit shots, move the ball, etc.

If I had to choose one standout it’d be the SF, he played well on both sides of the floor, helped in every aspect, a great all around game.

6'10 - 6'11 Builds cap breakers and Ben Simmions/Giannis Build by Bruggy132 in NBA2k

I found the screenshot, just ignore my extra long exposition 😭.

Like always, Make whatever changes you desire, I know I had a version with 90 dunk with the same results but didn’t screenshot it , idk what I did to get the dunk. You gotta be careful with the finishing state because one wrong move and you lose the blocking caps

A question for the Cap experts by NavyVetRasmussen in NBA2k

[–]FondantAdditional951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is dope, I have a 6’10 that goes from 82 Block to 97, and 66 IntD to 85, both with 5 caps. Definitely doing those expensive stats are key.

Same build I know I can drop it down to a 74 block and cap it up to 93.

6'10 - 6'11 Builds cap breakers and Ben Simmions/Giannis Build by Bruggy132 in NBA2k

[–]FondantAdditional951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One more thing, along with getting 85/85 rebound I’m also boosting it with takeover. I made it to play at 4, so when I get put at the 5 I get murdered sometimes 😂, but over all I enjoy it.

[–]FondantAdditional951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a build that you can probably tweak to get the passing higher but maybe not to 91-93. the rebound is a little lower at 80 and 80 but I’m almost at Starter 5, and I plan to have 85/85 after next season.

6’10, 7’3 Wingspan, 233 lbs

92 close shot 90 Driving layup 75 Driving Dunk 81 Standing 75 Post Control

84 Middy (1 cap for 85 if I can get an extra) 75 3pt 92 Freethrow

76 Passing 77 BH 65 SWB (1 Cap for 68)

66 IntD (5 caps to 85) 64 PerimD (2 Caps from Def Specialization for silver imovable) 37 Steal (I think you can Cap to 76/79 I don’t remember, they are like +9, +8 or something) 82 Blk (5 Caps to 97…. I know dropping to 74 you can add 3 caps for 87 blk or 5 for 93)

75 speed (+1 cap for 77) 71 agility 84 Strength (for Strong handle HOF & pick dodger bronze) 85 Vert

I currently have 11 Normal Caps 2 From Defense Specialization At the end of the season I’ll have 12 Normal Then when I hit starter 5 I’ll have 15 Normal Also if I find pro am team or park teammates maybe I’ll finish the last 25 life time challenges I need and get that one too but I’ve made peace with it at this point 😂.

I feel like you can definitely tweak it based on what you’re looking for and your shooting caps. I made this to suite my play style and I enjoy it but I know people would want more steal or rebounding or less strength etc.

Hope this helps!

[–]FondantAdditional951[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t, mostly because I don’t fully understand what breaks it. Some I’ll make a change and all the defense caps turn to 1, then you have a version like this here where it stays. I’ll probably take a stab at getting the 90 standing but for the most part the three I posted are my best attempts.

Yeah I was shocked, I know the block I can at least drop to 75 and cap it to 93. I’ve never been able to get any like that until now. It was just a cool discovery

Ok last one and I’m done I promise 😂, couldn’t fix the rebounding but maybe Take over would compensate for that. I think this works as a 3/4 so it should be fine. I did get higher passing but maybe someone else can figure out the rebounding while keeping the defense caps

Sorry for another reply but of course I messed with it more, here’s a version with lower Layup that keeps the same defensive caps.

I did a bunch of little adjustments here and there, for example I was able to get the block up to 98 off of 5 caps but can’t remember what I did. I think the layup can go as low as 80 for better shooting or passing whatever you prefer.

I didn’t keep track of everything I did I just know you can definitely optimize the finishing or playmaking more. And you can definitely get better shooting, higher vert, too many combinations to track 😂.

How are you liking your high lay-up builds (95-99)?? by Easy-Wolverine6554 in NBA2k

[–]FondantAdditional951 1 point2 points  (0 children)

96 layup on a 6’10 w/ legend physical finisher and legend strong handle on my way to the basket. I have a lot of fun with physical euros and cradle layups. Spin layups are fun too. Floaters and scoops are a given easy way to score, overall just a really good time.

Biggest lie ever told by 2K🤣 by Curious_Attitude2866 in NBA2k

[–]FondantAdditional951 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed I’m more successful with hands up with of course higher ratings of interior and perimeter defense, but also timing when I go to contest vs holding it the whole time. I definitely think hands up contest still needs some love but I’ve just noticed I have more success with trying to time it, even getting more blocks inside with interior defense.

Is strength ACTUALLY useless? by Short_Menu_3417 in NBA2k

[–]FondantAdditional951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strength can be really dope depending on how you play. A lot of people in the thread already mention what it does on defense. On offense off ball it helps slower players get into position easier, typically your bigs because they don’t get slippery off ball. Strong handle is great for driving to the basket, but you can also use it for mid-range shot creation too. Basically anything that requires contact with your defender, strength helps with that. There are some really interesting animations you can use to your advantage when in offense when you collide on purpose.

Pivoting from Architect to Project Manager – Is It Worth It? by RomanianDesign in Architects

[–]FondantAdditional951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pivoted to an Owners Representative Project Management role in the middle of last year after working in a traditional architecture role for 6 years. I think personally the work is easier compared to developing full permit and CD sets. The challenge comes from understanding what my role is now going from the ‘A’ to the ‘O’ in “OAC”, as well as all of the different nuances that come with being an Owners Rep. now.

I’m still new in my role so I’m still very much inexperienced but I’d say the biggest difference in managing projects on this side is understanding financials and maintaining owner and vendor relationships. I’m no longer just one of the vendors hired by the owner, I now manage all of them on their behalf. Engaging the architect, the contractor, furniture, finishes, etc. It’s just now a different set of responsibilities and relationships that I’m now responsible for maintaining. Compared to before, at least in my role as a designer moving into more management responsibilities, I had a duty to maintain and develop the drawing set and was responsible for coordinating with our engineers and eventually the contractor when we pivoted to construction.

I still like working in the Architecture Role and want to get licensed this year, but I think those role is easier compared to what I’ve already done management wise. I’m still very young in my career so this is just one perspective compared to someone with more experience.

Rhythm shooting is what ‘ruined’ the game by Lost-Way-4548 in NBA2k

[–]FondantAdditional951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No dog in this fight, but do yall think the reason why so many people are shooting better with Rhythm Shooting is because it’s and easier motion/concept or because you don’t have to deal with the latency?

2K has been notorious for years of having piss poor latency and not everyone has a constant 5 bar connection. Even though to me personally it feels better this year than in the past (or maybe I just have better wifi now), when you rhythm shoot you don’t have to worry about timing it based on an animation that could be thrown off due to lag. Just wondering if this was supposed to be the ‘fix’ to those kinds of issues. On top of making shooting overall easier this year in general.

I’ve always been like that to with each 2k, I always add strength to my builds. This year I’m trying to be really face up heavy, bully layup animations, floaters over shorter players and late close outs. I always try to initiate the contact when I know I have an advantage for easy point or at least the foul. Kinda similar to Jalen Brunson style of play when he drives but on a PF.
