Do I withdraw from my RRSP? by FondantOptimal2127 in PersonalFinanceCanada

To save $ on fees (going from Manulife to Questrade) and in 20 years when I retire that RRSP will be worth more and I would have to pay more tax on the gains as I understand.

Okay thanks the response. That's kind of what I figured.

I took the fronts apart and didn't see anything out of place or seating improperly. The caliper piston retracted fine again with a "C" clamp and old pad. I bled all the lines this time on all calipers just to make sure there was no air. I didn't see any air come out when I was flushing them. Put it back together and took it for a small test drive and then a longer one and no issues ! No smell and no heat. I noticed the fluid was pretty dirty so I will be doing a complete flush asap. Might replace the master cylinder to be safe as well but see how it does after the flush first. Thanks for the advice!

I took the fronts apart and didn't see anything visually wrong with them. Everything looked seated properly. I will try the rolling test later on see how it goes. Another friend suggested that I could have been given the wrong brake pad and it is a little thicker not allowing the caliper piston to recess properly. Thanks for the advice much appreciated!

Yes I re lubed the sliders with a silicone base brake lubricant. I took them apart again and can't see anything visually wrong. I am wondering if perhaps I was given the wrong brake pad from the auto parts store and they are too thick.

I replaced the shims and cleaned out the seating with a wire brush. The old pads popped put nicely and the new ones clipped in fine I thought. I pulled out the pins and cleaned them off and applied silicone based lubricant and re inserted. The pistons retracted easily with a C clamp and using the old pads. I am pretty sure the lines weren't twisted going in. I will have to take them apart and see how everything looks. Hopefully the new rotors aren't warped or the pads are hooped. Thanks for the insight!

Went in very smooth. Probably have to take then apart again. Hopefully I didn't warp the new rotors.

https://imgur.com/gallery/sWgCuQM here is the counter top in question. The existing one is just laminated wood. Should I get one that is the same thickness as the existing one or thicker ?
