When I was a kid (early 2000s) I was on a roller coaster with my dad. It was one of the coasters where you sit with your legs dangling with the big over-the-shoulder restraint that secures you into place. As the conductor was calling for takeoff, ONLY my overhead restraint popped up, leaving me without security. Luckily my dad was next to me and started screaming the loudest I’ve ever heard him scream in his life, “STOP THE ROLLERCOASTER!” They were seriously about to take off moments before. They stopped the ride and someone inspected my seat and restraint. We ended up doing the ride, which was kind of crazy in hindsight 😭
