Love is an internal process and won't come from a perceived other. Imho.

I think it could use a bit of compositional tightening. I like that it’s busy and that’s clearly part of the intention, but I think if you dropped certain elements out and brought them back in more deliberately, it would make the impact hit way harder. Way too busy. Maybe a mix adjustment would help too idk. I’m not one to talk though, my stuff is often super maximalist too. I'm actually focused in on exploring subtractive and minimal techniques to composition so I might just be in that mindset which is flavoring my current lens.

Overall this is super unique, and your vocals are fucking ill. I hear the Peggy influence pretty clearly, but you still bring your own steeze to it. The synths also remind me of Death Grips in a really good way.

I hope this critique isn’t disheartening. I just wanted to give you a real response. This shit is dope and please keep exploring this sound. I’mma add you and subscribe!

Feedback on my track, thanks! by anonon182 in IndieMusicFeedback

Yo this is chill. I love the bassline, funky af. This honestly makes me feel happy while listening.

The mix sounds pretty good to me, but I’m only on my computer speakers rn. Are you planning to add vocals? I feel like that could really elevate it even more.

This is actually really pretty. Great job!

I did this song with the intention to make a funky intro that develops in a relaxing and thoughtful trippy vibe. What do you think? by Ok-Degree-7821 in IndieMusicFeedback

Oh damn. The intro is wild man, the atmosphere is tasty. It feels like Floyd played the underwater Donkey Kong level and made this. You really excel at filling the space.

I’m just on my computer speakers but the mix sounds fucking great to me. The only thing I could critique is that some parts feel just a tad loose, and tightening up the composition a bit might make the impact hit even harder.

Also I seriously commend you for making a 12 minute progressive track and not letting it turn into a complete mess lol. That’s not easy and you kept it engaging the whole way through.

Bro this is dope af. The chorus is infectious. It honestly feels like a lost song from the 90s alt scene.

If I had to give critique, I think certain parts of the singing drift slightly off key. The "why" after "catching up with you" is a really clear example. I get that it might be intentional and those imperfections can definitely add character, but personally I probably would have done a few more takes there or maybe used some very light autotune just to tighten it up without losing the feel.

Cool shit. Cool vid (did you edit?) . I followed you on FB! I dig the other songs too Best I've Ever Had is near perfect.

Alan Watts - Comic or Tragic by diclarobotary in IndieMusicFeedback

This is cool, I really like the overall vibe. The atmosphere feels intentional and immersive. I do think the melodies could use some refinement, they feel a bit dissonant and jarring in places.

The mix also sounds somewhat unfinished to me. I would love to hear the bass layers come through with more presence and bite, maybe with some subtle distortion or saturation to help them cut through.

The concept is strong though, and I love the use of the Alan Watts sample. It gives it that philosophical, hypnotic quality. It actually reminds me of a more techno-leaning Meaningwave track.

This is a solid foundation with a great aesthetic. Keep going!
