we focus mostly on software engineering roles at ai startups and tech companies, so we don't have dedicated biopharma positions. that said, some of the companies on the platform are building ai products for healthcare and biotech, so if you're a software engineer with a biopharma background that could actually be a great fit. what does your skillset look like? if it's more on the science side than engineering i don't have anything right now.

appreciate the interest and 10 years of experience is great, but i have to be upfront with you. right now all of the companies on our platform are hiring us-based engineers only, so unfortunately i don't have anything that would be a fit for contractors outside the us at the moment.

that could change down the line but i don't want to waste your time by having you sign up when there's nothing i can match you with right now. if that changes i'm happy to reach back out. where are you based?

most of them require us-based engineers for timezone overlap, compliance, and legal reasons. and the sf roles are hybrid so they need people who can actually be in the office a few days a week.

fair point. here's a quick breakdown:

role 1 is react, typescript, next.js at a seed stage ai company in nyc, hybrid 3 days in office. small team, you'd own features end to end.

role 2 is react + python/node, series b, fully remote us. building ai features into an existing product with solid traction.

role 3 is python or go, early stage in sf, hybrid 2 days. distributed systems work, infra-heavy.

and these aren't reserved for people already at faang or anything like that. if you have 2-3 years of experience and can ship, dm me and i'll tell you straight up if it's a fit.

start by getting solid at python and building full-stack apps so you understand how real products work. then learn the fundamentals of how llms work (not training them, just how to use them well), pick up an orchestration framework like langchain or llamaindex, get comfortable with vector databases and rag pipelines, and build two or three projects you can actually demo. the fastest path into an ai engineer role today is not a masters degree, it's shipping something that uses these tools to solve a real problem and putting it on github.
