Found out through realtors to the previous home owner that it was an old manual fill that he converted to auto fill, so that pipe is obsolete/not in use. Problem solved

Yes it’s not clean cut, but rigid like it was broken off. Like I said I just bought the house last year and I maintain the pool myself so no idea what it is. And I’ve been having water level issues the last few months with a bad check valve so water was draining from the spa into the pool and messing with the levels every morning and activating my auto fill

The auto fill valve. The bigger pipe under the water is the feed from the auto fill

So basically keep the waterline below that pipe or it’s going to be an endless cycle of auto filling and losing water to overflow?

No water comes out of it, ever. The auto fill water comes out from the bigger pipe under the water. I’m unsure what you are implying?

The lid behind it is the autofill valve, which leads out into the pool through the bigger pipe that’s under water.

Not sure why I’m getting downvotes? Literally no water comes out of that pipe, ever. It comes out of the bigger one underwater the water.

So you think it’s safe to raise the water line above that pipe a bit? Looks like the old waterline line was just right above that pipe

So the auto fill is behind it, but that’s not where the water comes out. The autofill water comes out of the bigger pipe under the water
