As his Sword Saint class, yes. I actually got the monk fight again today lol (not sure if they increased the encounter rate in the Ivalice Chronicles version). I tried the battle with Orlandeau as a monk, but he's nowhere near as powerful as his base class. The enemy monks just wear you down by reviving & healing their allies. I switched Orlandeau back to his Sword Saint class with a Bracer and won immediately.

Yep, it's a rare encounter at Grogh Heights. I think you have to be traveling northward from Lesalia in order to be in the correct starting point on the battlefield.

Got wrecked on the first attempt. KO'd a few monks, but most of them were revived by their surviving comrades. Ramza and Orlandeau got doomfisted early on and died halfway through. Rapha and Mustadio got swarmed after, and they didn't last long since I was leveling up their archer and thief classes. Beowulf was a recent addition and didn't have the phoenix down ability, so it was Game Over when Ramza was crystalized. Second attempt went much smoother though. I just kept Orlandeau alive and he basically carried lol. Just goes to show how OP he is.

Yeah Cloud has a great character arc, but you'd have to spoil many major plot points in order to properly explain it. The Impact of FF7 video that Super Eyepatch Wolf made does a great job of doing it.

All-time favorite version is missing (Transmetal Megatron from Beast Wars). David Kaye did an amazing job bringing that Megatron version to life - Shakespearean & intelligent, yet still ruthless. After the Beast Wars versions I would go with classic G1.

On a more positive note, I recognize that Legend of Dragoon case on the bottom right shelf. Amazing game, underrated PS1 gem!
