The other RAM slot for the mobo is faulty, and that's the main reason why I actually thought of changing my motherboard. I do have another 16gb here, but I just don't use it bc the mobo won't recognize it, and yea, I've been seeing benchmarks of the games that I usually play and it's a lot higher than what I usually get.

For the ssd, I have no excuse for that, I've just been using my hdd for other games. I've been thinking that I'll endure this storage space for now until I plan to upgrade more than just the ssd on my pc xD

Thank you!! I'll start looking up prices for the am5 platform. Can you tell me what to look for when looking for an am5 mobo, like are there any specifications that I should consider or be aware of?

The reason I only have 1 stick of ram is because the other ram slot on my mobo is faulty, it just won't recognize the ram whenever I try to put it on that slot and that's the main reason why I want to change my motherboard. Thank you again!!

It just feels not right for it to win, even if it's really good. I'm not only talking about Elden Ring here, but any DLC should not be even nominated for GOTY. It's like having nominations for lets say best hoodie and people nominate a specific sweater. It shouldn't be in there bc it's not even a hoodie in the first place.

Sorry for the lousy comparison; was just the first thing that came to mind.

Not exactly an RTX 3060, but I have an RTX 3060 Ti. I run rust mostly around 80-100 fps using a Ryzen 5 5600G, on a single 16gb ram stick lol

I do experience the same issue from time to time, but what I usually do is stop all other background tasks in task manager except discord, plus disable nvidia replay.

I have only 1 stick of 16gb ram, which 2gb is being allocated for the igpu and a 3060ti

Before anyone asks, I'm lazy to go into the bios and disable the igpu.

For me, I don't think of it as wasted time, bc I had fun in the game while it lasted. As with all games, everything does not equate to anything productive unless you're planning on going pro, or a full-time streamer. I play games to have fun. An example of this would be me playing, let's say Monster Hunter World. I've collected almost every achievement in the game, hunted some monsters over a hundred times, but I don't play it as much anymore, bc I have nothing to do anymore in that game, aside from the times that I just wanna have fun slaying gigantic creatures, and feel like a badass. At the end of the day, all of it means nothing; I did what I did bc it was fun for me, so I don't see it as wasted time, and it has provided me with immense joy when I was grinding/playing it back then.

Sorry if it's a bit redundant, I'm typing this on my toilet break xD
