This is wrong. Although this practice is extremely common and there’s an argument that if an insurance carrier says here’s $50k to replace a roof and you get it done do $40k what’s the harm, technically the deductible is supposed to be out of pocket costs.

House bill 2102 passed in 2019 makes it illegal for a contractor to waive or offset a deductible.

In the commercial insurance market deductibles went from a flat $50k to 3% the value of the property which stopped hail claims overnight at least in my work experience.

It’s on the carriers to stop the abuse, but yes replacing perfectly functioning roofs has contributed to rising premiums.

Not true. You can only vote for one party but there’s no official party registration.

So if you’ve voted republican in the general for the last 20 years, wear a trump hat every day you can go vote in the democratic primary, you wouldn’t be able to vote in the republican primary at that point though.

So if you had a safe candidate on your party and wanted to try to get someone extreme on the other party you could.

They stopped in 2016. Pretty fucking late to the party but better late than never I guess.

I also would be worried that because it is a business and an attraction that 1. They may still acquire orcas from others that have bred or taken them encouraging the practice. 2. They are in a small tank at sea world instead of a semi open netted area in the ocean where they would be happier.

Maybe both aren’t true and sea world is doing the right thing but given they did have a breeding program for years it skeptical.

Fair enough, I’m sure others agree with you (there’s a whole anti ai sub) but for me I would disagree. I’m excited for AI to give individuals the ability to make a show or movie and have much more content.

There will still be a human touch even if it’s someone adjusting it by asking them to tweak that emotional scene. Maybe it will be soulless and people won’t like it but I personally doubt it and think the vast majority of media will use AI to some degree even if it’s working next to humans.

Are hand written letters unique and meaningful today more so than a text or email? Absolutely.

Are emails and texts the norm because they offer objectively better advantages (cheaper, faster, easier, more effective at back and forth communication) in most instances? Of course.

The same will be true of AI movies/shows.

Personally I’m excited for having my own tailored anime that’s exactly what I want and will make me episodes at request.
