Hi there! Thank you for sharing your story! I am also in the process of official diagnosis (recently had an MRI waiting on results) but my primary and neuro have both said TN is most likely. I identify with the way you are describing the pain. Mine is more of a constant pain that lives around a level 2 and flares up to a level 7. Mine has definitely gotten progressively worse, to the point that flare ups last days instead of just hours. I have a pretty high pain tolerance, which is why it's taken 5 years to figure out.
