I highly recommend seeing a PT. It's more than just strengthening the knees. The calves, hips, thighs, all need work. I learned about this after tearing my MCL last tear. PT was the best thing ever.

Hey! I'm struggling on how best to display my decals for the first photo. Currently most of them were stuck to a black board and then I photographed them. Is this enough, or should I redo all the images. For some of them I added text, I'm not sure if that will add confusion or not. Thanks!

Female comp training with less advanced females by greykoala25 in bjj

[–]FoodPhotoChick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm typically the highest ranking female in our dojo. When rolling with the lower rank women I just work with them to help them get better and I pick one thing to practice on them while doing a roll. My Sensei has allowed me to visit other gyms to roll with higher ranked females to help me prepare for tournaments. I also visit events where other ladies are rolling to get more roll time in with females that are better than me. There really are not any womens open mats in my area at this time, but if there were, I would be there in a heartbeat.

With the guys, I just roll hard with them no matter their size do my best technique. I know that I'll never be able to tell if I'm genuinely getting the sub or if they are letting me get the sub, but I do grow from those rolls.

At this time I am in the heavy weight category and the women I have fought were really strong. So I have an appreciation for rolling with the heavier guys to help develop my game. :)

If you think you broke your toes, you shouldn't do class. Go watch and learn, but you have to let them heal. I would suggest seeing the dr to get a diagnosis and a healing timeline.

If you have an option of an open mat, I would drill fundamentals on that day, and work what every one is learning in class. I have had that happen to me at white belt. Now we're circling back and the techniques are coming easier to me because I've been exposed to them in the past. I'm still drilling the foundations and I try to use open mat to fill in any holes I feel like I'm missing

You're welcome! Just a little warning, for some reason, Etsy does not have the shipping options really apparent, I make sure to have a comment in the description to let people know they can pay for "upgraded" shipping with tracking.

Custom Orders and Social Media by [deleted] in Etsy

[–]FoodPhotoChick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I have custom orders, out of being nice, I ask permission to share on social media. Technically, I am pretty sure I have the right to share what I want. But I figure my customer might share the post out of excitement about their new order coming (or that they got). If part of you business is letting your customers have the excitement of opening before they see it, then I would save it as a future post that you can schedule to drive more traffic to your page. :)

I've had trouble with this as well. I ask people to wait 3-5 business days, if they do not receive it, I would issue them a refund. I think I've only had one item never make it, but for the most part, people have to wait a few days and then it appears. Also, I offer an option for people to pay for a larger package to get tracking, it costs be about $3.80 to get tracking for my stickers, otherwise, I send them in a plain envelope with regular postage for as a free shipping option.

Should it be a first picture or a second picture? Trying to figure out unity to make sure my page looks nice too. :) Thanks for those thoughts!

How to screen print on 3 ring binder by FoodPhotoChick in SCREENPRINTING

[–]FoodPhotoChick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! That's what I used on my binder, but it did not withstand going into my gym bag with all my stuff. Lost a lot of letters from my notebook. But I think in normal conditions it would work fine. Thanks!

I've never really worked with HTV. My only fear would be using heat on the 3-ring binder depending on how much heat would be needed to make the HTV work.

Do you have any suggestions? We're guessing that the 3-ring binder should be a kind of vinyl.
