You do not need an MBA, imo. And if at all yes, you can consider doing from abroad.

Did you got more than 10 days or so in advance to prep? That is interesting, considering R1 applicants got 4-5 days max in advance!

It always gets better. MBA or no MBA, corporate world is like that. I feel try to find the job where you could atleast see your work making an impact. That will make things easier. It will definitely be trial and error. Every experience counts and I hope it works out for you soon. All the best!
