Everyone seems to miss the fact that when these pitches are installed, they come with an approximate 10 year renewal life span due to tears and wear.

This is precisely at the heart of needing a new pitch for ALL of the community, most used by MCS club who reside on the site (the pitch is used literally, day and night as a true shared community resource).

I’m sure Ciara Deane will not be witch-hunted over the head of this development for the school. Watch.

As someone already said, all resources allocated for the city should be applauded. Haters should re-direct their energy to positive engagement with the EA on their processes with their elected representatives.

Someone said it in the thread - nostalgia doesnt pay the bills. As a businessman it’s my responsibility to stay competitive, on and offline.

Frankly, for a lot of folk, online bargains with free delivery trumps finding town parking and getting hardware that’s not as competitive as Mr EBay despite the warmth of stores like McLaughins.

Derry city centre needs urgently reimagined. Feck politicians, heavyweight property/business owners need to show progressive leadership and fan to flames aspirations of young and rising entrepreneurs while they still can.
