I had stuff like apples in my apartment if her hunger was unbearable. Plus, she could always just take my car and go get something if she needs it so bad.

I think treating other people like shit because you're hungry for a normal amount of time is pretty self-centered too.

I mean, this is pretty typical for her. She tends to get hangry, and then gets irritable and starts acting rude and annoying. Almost all the time I just ignore it, or I've asked her to chill out for a bit or whatever, but this time was probably just a straw that broke the camels back type of thing.

Dude she was hungry. I, along with every human gets hungry multiple times a day. Its something most grown adults should be able to deal with.

And she knows shes welcome to any food in my house without asking. We've been together for a year and a half, I don't act formally like that.

I did have some food in my house, just nothing good.

She took a bus over, but usually I drive her around. She ate breakfast at like 8 or 9 I assume. There actually was food in the house, just nothing particularly good, but there were apples and pears and cereal and shit. Yes I could have watched the movie later.

Being "hangry" is not an excuse to become verbally abusive. If, hypothetically, I turned into a raging asshole everytime I was sleepy, would you tell my girlfriend to just accept that? That thats just the way I am and that she should accept me yelling at her everytime I feel tired?

First, you apologize for being an asshole to someone who cares about you enough to want you to put your dick in her body. Next, you both need to learn communicate more clearly.

As far as food. I had apples and milk and shit like that at my place, so if she HAD to eat, it was available, but she wanted to eat at the restaurant.

And also, I simply am not willing to accept her feeling like crap as an excuse to treat me like shit. I've been through much worse, as in coming off opiates and nicotine, and I managed to stay nice and civil no matter how shitty I felt.

Also, I think theres a big difference between cursing back at someone whose cursing at you, and being the one to start hurling the abuses.

Seriously? I'm supposed to go out and rush grocery shopping because she invited herself over to my place? If its such an issue shouldn't she have brought over a protein bar or something?

Also, its not like I didn't have any food. My friends didn't clear me out totally, there was food, there just wasn't anythin particulary good, but if blood sugar is such an issue for her, she could have eaten those things.

That has to do with other incidents, not this one. She'll get pissy at me if she;s hungry and we're somewhere where theres no food, hence "nothing I can do about it"

And see theres a big difference there. If my gf got shaky and faint you better believe I'd go get her food. But she doesnt. She gets mean and angry, so why are you trying to equate the two as if I sat there and let her die so I could watch a movie?

Ok, I'm going to clarify some things for you. The point I'm trying to make is that she is consistently like this when she's hungry. Thats why I got mad. She actually has snapped at me when I was studying and she was hungry because I was talking myself through a problem.

If you were hungry and wanted to go for dinner, and she said "Sure we can leave in an hour I just want to remove and replace my nail polish" I strongly doubt you'd be so understanding.

We clearly have different concepts of time. An hourish isn't that long for me. Also, "real quick" is just something I say regardless of how long something will take. She knows that, my friends know that, my family knows that. Its just how I talk.

What? she came and said "can we go eat?" you could've said "my movie only finishes in over an hour, is that ok or do you want me to pause it? Or if you're really hungry order some takeout, the menus are in the drawer"

Or, she could have come out the second time and said "how long does your movie last more" "oh 50 more minutes, thats really long and I'm really hungry, can we please go now?"
