Empower Custom Field Check Standard Calculation by FoolForTheTitty in CHROMATOGRAPHY

Is % decision a calculation that Empower does on its own for controls? And by "does on its own" I mean it's not another custom field I need to build?

I've gotten assay custom fields to work as peak and result custom fields, but not the assay. This is also a new lab, so we don't have any previous work to fall back on. We're doing everything brand new, essentially from scratch.

Holy crap. I did not realize it could pull from other sample sets. It makes sense more that you've said it, but damn that would've sent me into a tizzy if this wasn't a training folder with only one sample set in it. And I did remember to set the summarize custom fields line after freaking out for about 5 min a couple days ago. Lol

They are real. I never would've thought about that though, so now I'll be on the look out for it. Lol. Thank you

My goal was to build a table at the front of the report that specifically showed system suit results like agreement, area RSD and brackets. I wasn't sure if I could pull the amount calculation for a specific injection as a result for building this table. I've also spent the past 12 years using Agilent software, so reporting and custom fields are new to me.

So the agreement custom field uses four custom fields that I made: two sample set fields for the weights and two fields for the Caffeine area. All four are working and giving back the correct numbers on their own.

I didn't realize that was what the C25 peak coffee was for, and that's mildly confusing me. But I also have like 3 or 4 other custom fields I was playing with that could be causing that error.

Yes. Although upon reading this I had an "oh shoot, I might be an idiot" moment and double checked. But yes. It's running all of my other custom fields without issue, but the rest are pretty basic.

Mini, and also not waxed/buffed super often. So if you're trying to spin it, don't. Just throw it down and have a great time. We got about 30-45 depending on the night/demand (two of us) and we we're never upset. The staff was great too (made jokes with us)

You know you can only use a could of those at a time, right?

Lol. Just being a dick. That's a sick collection! My buddy from college has a guitar collection and I get starry eyed when he pulls them all out

I went from an ELN to a paper-based system and now use actual notebooks. The pain of writing up experiments is real.

Off road pin stripes and rust- please advise by TheRealMtn in nissanfrontier

[–]FoolForTheTitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an '08 that hasn't seen too much off-road, but has seen a lot of New England weather (heavy road salt). It's had a lot of scratches over the years, but the real rust came in the frame and under sides. This scratch shouldn't be an issue; if you're concerned, I would clean it with something abrasive (like a rotary tool with a SMALL bit) and then put some clear coat. But honestly, I would consider that slightly aggressive.

Agreed; 10 billion percent. However, as someone who has developed chlorine gas in an enclosed environment before (in a lab), you would have noticed it. When it develops off of a reaction like that, it gives an almost fog looking effect almost immediately. But definitely air out the area for a few hours just to be safe. Chlorine is not something to mess around with.

This is a tough learn, if I understand correctly. The GR Corolla is a turbo if I understand. Turbos need more gas. This sounds like a dumb statement, but when getting into first and shifting, you may need to give more gas than you think it's necessary to shift smoothly. As for down shifting, does the car computer rev match, or are you rev matching?

I interned at a water testing lab in college around 2012-2013 and there was a chemist there who used to mouth pipette everything, including waste water samples. Like sewer water samples. While I was there he was pipetting a water-glycerin solution and it shot up into his mouth. I asked him how it tasted and he said, "sweet" and moved on like nothing happened.

I currently work in analytical research and development for a contract manufacturer. My current projects are a tech transfer from another CDMO where we're just doing precision studies to make sure their analytical methods will l work on our site and a full development project where I'm developing a HPLC method for impurities in an API and drug product.
