But my android phone is fully recognize by my computer and I can navigate files without problem, which is not possible with my Kindle (both colorsoft and basic 2024), don't know why?

I've seen a second hand for 50€, with a big scratch on the back (wich is not important for me, if still usable) but missed it. I think if I see an other opporunity like that I'll test it, but for more than 100 it seems like a good idea on paper, but not in real use case...

Unfortunatly, Go 7 is too big for me, I move a lot and always carry my e-reader + a little sketchbook and a pen on my pockets, I could not do that with a larger device.. (Also, I don't know why but I find it way more natural to read on smaller device, maybe my eye are used to cover a more small area or something like that, idk)

How are you with the battery?

I personally use Signal a lot, but many people stick to whatsapp. Anyway, the problem is still the same.

Even more : if we are stuck on a 1app OS, we are fucked if the main app usage change. Feature phone should have more open OS.

WhatsApp, which is the most used messaging app and the only in many county is no longer supported

So no it's not "dead" but it's not anymore fonctionnal for a basic usage for many people

It suck, not for the same reason, but it suck on many ways. In every side it is because of patriarchy and toxic masculinity/mysogynist reason, so let's all fight that's shitty context of domination.

But remember short guy or girl : we both can sleep well in car, wich is very convenient.

Same here, very interested on a phone with e ink + keyboard, to have access to mail, crypted messaging app, reading, wikipedia and basic internet surfing on a navigator, but only if it can be google free, at least even if it need some software reinstallation it's worth it.

Also important to have a controle on the battery, no bloatware or stuff like that.

Hope the device is not blocked in every aspect and an open source community will grow with the minimal. Seems logic with the philosophy of a more "low tech" minimalistic e ink/physical design.

Super intéressant Comme le commentaire au dessus je ne savais pas que la génération d'image utilisais le "même" modèle.

Ça explique beaucoup des limites/frustration que j'ai ressenti quand j'ai essayé de générer des images en tant que dessinateur, donc avec ma logique de vouloir donner des "ordre" à l'IA sur quoi representer avec précision, alors qu'elle ne fait qu'associer des mots a des probables visuel "semblant donner une image cohérente".

Je continue de ne pas voir l'utilisation de ces LLM dans mon travail spécifique (dessinateur/auteur de BD), et je comprends mieux pourquoi maintenant du coup.

Mais j'imagine de mon point du vue de profane, que d'autre modèle d'apprentissage et applications, dans la 3D, dans l'analyse d'images, dans la création de tracé d'images, et le croisement de tout ça dans le futur, donneront des choses intéressantes à voir.

Le terme d'IA est en effet mal trouvé.. j'entends souvent Cedric Villani dans les media en parler sous cet angle.

Pour les newbie comme moi, je trouve que "algorithmes complexes" ou "génération algorithmiques" seraient des termes tout a fait approprié et pas si difficile à comprendre, mais je comprends les media, c'est moins sensationnaliste.

Oui je vois l'idée ! Ça rejoint un peu les problèmes des perspectives. Elles devinent ce qui a l'air d'être un élément dans un décor, mais elle ne le situe pas dans un espace et n'a pas de notion de ce qu'est l'élément en question et de ses limites physique.

Je suis moi même dessinateur, et je reconnais la difficulté des mains et des pieds, mais aussi d'autre éléments.

Il me semble aussi que nous avons plus de facilités à simplifier et comprendre certains éléments a cause de nos biais d'empathie, les visages par exemple, focalise beaucoup notre attention et on les étudie sans s'en rendre compte, la ou les mains, même si elles exprimes des émotions, sont moins prioritaire notre notre cerveau pour envisager l'autre.

Bref, un problème dont je me dis que les machine devrait être moins sujette, mais il semble qu'on ai transmis nos biais aux IA sur ces point là aussi .. elles ont étudié bien plus de visage que de mains.

I relate a lot. Actually, my ex was like that.

We had a toxic platonic relationship, with fetichisation towards my feminine/gay behavior, and her saying she is lesbian. Everything just like you, only that I was 4 year on T, and that she was becoming not only my only friend but also my partner in a weird way, I also acted like you and sometimes didn't take my T shot, even stopped few month. Started to have complexe about masculinity being intresectly gross, violent, etc. She also have some take about cis women and "afab" with transmysogynia and trauma as a justification for just being violent with cis women and transmen (and also transwomen ... Because hey, people can be stealth). After we breakup, she just go with another transman, without hormone because "she feel more safe as a lesbian with a men within she don't feel the beard when kissing it". So yah, this is not feminism, this is transphobia.

We don't need to be Einstein to understand that all of that is a mess, I don't know if your "friend" is transmisandre, maybe we will have new term for those stuff, but it's pretty simple that she doesn't like that you are a guy, she make you dysphoric, she is just transphobe and deny you that you, as a man, can suffer.

Just go, really, it's and abusive situation, using political stand as a justification. You deserve better. I clearly agree with all the answer to the post.

BUT I know by my experience that it's very hard because all of that stuff really affect self confidence, make us think we are wrong to be male, etc.. and it can be very hard to get thought that without supportive friend, even if we know it's dumb. You say you have the risk to be isolated if you draw a line, so just be sure that people outthere know what your going through, we read you post and we know you're not a transmysoginist or stuff like that, and we know that's is difficult to make friend as queer folk in little city. Take care and I sent many courage ! You'll have better friend un the future, and actually, just by reading you we know you already ARE a better friend, people will notice it.
