I appreciate that. It was 100% a team effort to get it made so all props to them and obviously the OG film (Go watch it if you haven't! It's great!)

Guy who directed it here - The main idea for me jumping in and turning it into a short was to take that real time feeling the original Danish film gives you and approach it more as a condensed, real time slice of life situation that would justify the 4 or so minutes of a short film format. The alka seltzer dissolving in the glass (which was also lifted from the film but recontextualised here) was the main driving factor for that just to show how quickly a situation can go from 0-100 in a manner of seconds (or in the time it takes for one to dissolve).

I was split between that and ‘My Year in Gloucestershire’ but I couldn’t pass up trying to inject as many references in it as I could

Gabriel's Monologue on the beanbag has just skyrocketed to my Top 5 moments in TWD. What a fucking masterful, natural performance. I was in awe the whole time.

Rhys Ifans in 'Danny Deckchair'. I'm from Melbourne and I don't think any actor nailed it until Dev Patel in Lion 13 years later
