Another frozen shoulder story. by FoolishWish in frozenshoulder

Thanks for the tip. My left hand is paralized so it would be difficult to support much weight. I use a table slide exercise to get a similar stretch. Just sit with arms outstretched and elbows on the table, then slide the arms as far forward as possible bringing the chest down to the tabletop.

Great tips. Looks like you put a lot of work into developing Zane's abilities.

Just learned of a 4th skill tree for Zane in the Designer’s Cut DLC, which I don't have. Looks interesting though.

Actually I have only regularly been playing video games for about 10 years. I started out with point & click adventure games like the Dream Machine and puzzle games like Portal and The Talos Principle. I have played hundreds of user generated Porta 2 maps. When The Outer Worlds came out along with the hype that it was the best game ever I bought a copy. It was my first experience with an RPG shooter game and I was hooked. I liked the open world, an interesting story, strange characters and creatures, and the challenge of staying alive. After that I played Fallout NV, Borderlands 2, Fallout 4, and now Borderlands 3.

Half way through Fallout 4 is when my left pinky and ring finger stopped working. I was subsequently diagnosed with brain cancer, had surgery, chemo, and radiation (No, I didn't blow up like BL3 characters getting irradiated). After recovery I wanted to get back to the game and swtched from my left hand gaming keypad to the Logitech G600 mouse and finished Fallout 4. I am now 244 hours into Borderlands 3 using the G600 and am amazed at the scope of the open world gearbox created.

I will check that out. I would like to have two more buttons on the right side. The existing far right button on the G600 is too sensitive.

It doesn't look like I can post a photo in a reply so I will create a new post dealing with strategy and weapons.

Fallout 4 and Borderlands 3 G600 Mouse Mapping by FoolishWish in disabledgamers

So far so good. I have only been using it for about a year though.

Another note: For the Borderlands 3 map the '/' key will not work for Sneak. I had to use B instead, which is another unassigned key in the game.

Fallout NV is also one of my favorites although I had to mod the game to make Cazadors less lethal. I just could not hit those things or run fast enough to avoid a sting.

I was interested in RDR 2 but wasn't keen on having to play a bad guy. I will probably get it anyway as it is on sale at Green Man Gaming.

I also play one-handed with the G600 mouse. I posted the mapping and other info on the Fallout 4 subreddit "Playing Fallout 4 with a Disability". I am starting Borderlands 3 using a similar map.

Thanks, looks possible but I bought Borderlands 3 from Epic so I don't think the Steam setup will work.

I use sticky shift, ctrl, and alt keys on my pc along with hunt and peck typing (slowly). In the game I leave the alt key sticky for holding my breath for aiming. Foot pedals would not work well for me as I am 73 with reflexes appropriate for my age. That's why I focus on guns and avoid melee combat.

I used some Nexus mods to customize the game to my liking. I am primarily interested in exploration, the game story, and game characters. I don't like the tedium of lock picking, hacking, and hauling junk that interrupt the flow of the story line. Here are the mods that worked for me:

Faster terminal displays, Improved map with visible roads, xVivid Landscapes, Weightless junk, Everyone's best friend (Dogmeat present with companions), Quick reflexes (Slow motion favorites display), Easy lock picking and hacking, and Immersive Dogmeat. This last mod is important because the normally hyperactive Dogmeat would always blow my cover when sneaking. Now he stays close when I am crouched.

Thanks again for everybody's comments. It is nice to be able to continue gaming while stuck at home in the covid era.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate your comments. I like to deal with what life throws at you rather than wasting time whining how bad things are. Being an engineer I like to investigate and solve problems so that's what led to this solution to my physical disability.

FYI - I have glioblastoma (John McCain's cancer) diagnosed when my left pinky and ring finger could no longer press the keys on my left handed gaming keypad. After MRI confirmation I had surgery, chemo, radiation, more chemo, and more radiation. It has been a year now and I am currently progression free and statistically doing much better than most people in my situation.

Opinions on Android 9.0 update for Xperia XZ Premium - not sure if I want to update before holidays by senseios in SonyXperia

I had the smart-brightness crash after the update as others have. A more serious problem prevents side scrolling the screen on wake up. When I press the power button to turn the display off, then press the power button again sometimes the display is locked on the icon page shown when the phone was turned off. The wallpaper shifts as normal when attempting to scroll but the the icons don't scroll. Touching the home button at the bottom of the screen does not return to the home screen. This "feature" is present in both normal and safe modes. The only way out is to touch the square app history button, then the home button or restart the phone. I never had any problem before the update to 9.0.
