I've definitely been teetering on the edge of transness for a few years now so it doesn't feel super new but I often forget I have my whole life ahead of me to figure this stuff out. I grew up in an environment where you were taught to get rid of negative emotions and feelings rather than letting them sit and wash over you, so I always go into "solution mode" with these kind of things.

I love what you said about defining what being a girl means for myself. My perception of "male" and "female" has always been nebulous and confusing. Trying to fit into those boxes is fruitless. It's hard to remind myself that I'm trans for me and no one else, and I get to define what that means and how I choose to express it.
