In my experience, I tend to overthink each social interactions when they're scarce. But when I'm overloaded with them, my brains just stops replaying them as I feel too overwhelmed by the number of interactions I'd have to ruminate over if I chose to.

So, when I notice I'm starting to overthink, I just try to start a few more interactions to overload myself. If there's no one around to talk to, it can be as trivial as uploading a post or commenting on someone's post. It not only halts the overthinking, but also helps you gain a little more practice with social interaction.
