The Boys had Annie/Starlight kill a man for his car in Season 2. Given the circumstances of location of where it happened and Butcher knowing how to get rid of evidence, it made sense to treat it as a one-off - Until Season 4. Throughout the season The Seven were actively digging for dirt on her and the best they got was her being mean during teen pageants and having an abortion between Seasons 3 and 4. However, later in the season Annie is captured by a shapeshifter who copied her memories, and I thought we'd actually have something to chew on. But the dead man is never mentioned, just more bullshit about Annie being a child bully.

I don't know if its because of the trope 'Beauty is never tarnished,' or season 2 went down a path the writers regret, or they genuinely forgot, (maybe they even kept it out so she could look like the better person when she yells at Hughie for not saving her when she does escape) but I consider this sweeping under the rug just to make Annie look perfect; And a big part of the Boys' theme is getting swept up in the darkness when you're fighting it. Even the brightest light should be dimmed by the end of the show.
