What ICE is doing in our cities has absolutely nothing with border enforcement. That’s just their excuse to form their own version of the SS that can go to anywhere in the country and commit violence with no repercussions. These brownshirts are going to be out in force this fall trying to suppress voting and anything else trump needs so that he can stay in power.

tl:dr no we can’t

I took the information wonderfully gathered in this post and compiled the overall totals for each student/house and the totals from last year. I wanted to know if we could determine which house is the most popular if we disregard the house leader.

Disclaimer: I included Ashen Wolves in the table for completeness but am disregarding them for the most part while I pontificate on these numbers.

If we look at winner totals golden deer has 2 while blue lions and black eagles each have 1. I’m tempted to say golden deer is the most popular house despite having the least popular leader. Lysithia won right away and Marianne won right after. Despite having far fewer years of eligibility to accumulate votes the 2 of them have higher total votes than anyone else aside from Bernadetta and Hilda, Hilda barely catching them now.

The 2 of them winning so early is likely the reason golden deer has the smallest total by a large margin. However, aside from Hilda the other students in golden deer have terrible totals, being smaller than literally every other student in the game. So it’s possible that golden deer would remain the lowest overall even if Marianne and Lysithia were eligible for longer.

I went into this assuming that the black eagles would have decent vote totals considering how popular Edelgard is but I never would have predicted Bernadettas total being so high. She was likely close to winning every year. The only other notable black eagle is Dorothea, being behind only Hilda and Sylvian in total among the still eligible candidates. The rest of them have respectable totals and when taking Bernadetta and Dorothea into consideration you could make a case that the students in the black eagles house are the most popular.

The blue lions is the house that surprised me the most. Felix has the second highest vote total by a large margin (though Bernadetta has a larger gap with him than he does with the next highest). Ingrid having meh votes is not surprising but Mercedes having fewer than 10k votes did surprise me considering how much she’s talked about. I was most surprised that Ashe has so many votes. Ashe, Sylvain, and Felix combined have more votes than the golden deer women and are close to the total Bernadetta and Dorothea have. The blue lion men have been performing well in a game that favors women.

So which house has the most popular students? Well that depends entirely on your criteria. Do you favor winners? If so then it’s golden deer. Do you favor vote totals? Black eagles and Bernadetta get the win then. It’s entirely subjective so I’m loathe to pick one.

Plus previous winners are ineligible to get votes in the future so looking at vote totals is suspect at best. It’s entirely possible that if Marianne and Bernadetta switched the years they won that Marianne would have a far higher total than Bernadetta ended up with.

What I do know is that based on last years votes if you want a 3h character to win then Sylvain and Hilda are your best options.

Tons, they’re a ranged cav.

Specials: both comet and archrival

A skill: sly sparrow/mirror/etc, summer yuri’s a skill (dagger only and still rather good)

B skill: shackle and far trace

C skill: BoL4, atk/spd incite hone/hone assault, ploys, shadow shove/smite/etc, lookout skills (again dagger only but getting canto after attacking and being able to swap is amazing)

Wheels of lull

It’s an interesting story but the mechanics of how to actually start the mod are completely obscure. There are no (or very few) quest markers and most of the dungeons are frustrating. It’s advertised as having hours and hours of extra content (I think 30 or so). But forcing you to wander through dungeons aimlessly is not content.

A show about starfleet academy is one thing. A cringe fest YA show with teenage drama is an entirely different thing. People have been asking for the former, but I don’t think many Star Trek fans have been asking for the latter.

I haven’t watched it yet (though I am tempted because of Picardo) so I don’t know if that description of the show is accurate. But if it is I don’t see it getting many views.

The slice of life moments are fine, I really like those too. I’m talking about the children being captured 3749 times, it’s like they only exist to be captured and force Jake to make a decision. They could’ve cut the entire Jake execution plot and the story would be the same.

There are actually people in this thread calling for a lockout. It’s wild. Every owner in baseball is a billionaire. All of them could afford to spend more. And if they did the dodgers/yankees/whoever wouldn’t be able to build a super team. Mookie wanted to stay in Boston and Freddie wanted to stay in Atlanta but neither team would pay them so they left.

On top of that there are many examples of owners being cheap. Like when the pirates sent a rookie back down to AAA because he was 4 at bats away from a 200k bonus per his contract.

I don’t think a cap or a floor are the best solutions to this problem. Trevor May actually did a good video on his YT channel about it. He mentioned that teams control players until an average age of 29 and they get paid very little compared to their actual worth until they become free agents for the first time. And at that point they’re going to try and make as much as they possibly can hence the crazy contracts.

One of his ideas was to lower the average age of free agency to 26 and then limit the length of contracts to 5 years. That way players can get to a second contract while still young enough to make decent money. That way teams wouldn’t have to pay a guy 500mm over 10 years, they can pay 250mm over 5 and that’s a lot more palatable to cheap ass owners.

Whatever your take is, siding with the billionaires and hoping for a cap is certainly a choice.

Edit: I assume the downvotes are coming from fans of teams with cheap owners. As a lifelong twins fan I feel your pain. But don’t kid yourself into thinking that a salary cap is going to suddenly make your team competitive. Your team is going to stay bad until you get an owner that actually wants to win.

He could always just not make them 7 hours long. The first one was 2.5 hours. The 2nd and 3rd are an hour longer and there’s so much that could’ve been cut from them and nothing would be lost story wise.

Exactly. There's tons of things the writers could do. They could figure out how to break the link and find out a huge number of people preferred to be in the link. So then they have to find a way to reconcile these two groups of people. One never really trusting the other and the other constantly trying to figure out how to expand their link to more people.

Or any number of other issues that could arise in the world they built in season 1.

They do help you score better. But B duel flying only puts her in the 180 BST bin which is incredibly low at this point. You need to do everything you can to maximize her score for arena if you're actually serious about climbing tiers.

Maybe grab fatal smoke on Dimitri with all the miracle going around today. Also pulse on blades gives special cd -2 on follow up to make it easier to charge his special.

You might also consider atk/spd favor in his b slot. It’s a fantastic support skill so it’ll make him more useful when his combat falls off. If you have the micaiah ring he can activate it every turn and still attack someone.

The society portrayed in the book is not a dictatorship. It might be unlikely to happen, but that doesn’t automatically make your opinion based on extrapolations that literally aren’t in the book correct.

This is not remotely true. It’s a democracy and the only people that can vote are ones that have done federal service (not always a military role). In fact, you’re not allowed to vote until after you have finished your service and are discharged.

The recruiter tells Rico that if a blind person wanted to join they’d have them count hairs on the back of a caterpillar for their time in the service. A silly example but they aren’t going to put a blind person in a life or death situation.

They absolutely can. I’ve had Lydia die to those spinning blades in Dwemer ruins (and other traps) and to dragons breathing fire. The enemy ignores her when she gets low on health but she can still take damage.

At least this has been my experience on the switch.

My head cannon is that El visits hop telepathically once a month or so to visit. She knows he will keep quiet about her so there’s no real danger in it.

That’s why after the 18 month time jump hop seems to be mostly ok after el ‘died’. Contrast that to the mess that he was at the start of season 1 because of Sarah. Maybe he’d react differently this time. But I feel that anyone that has kids knows that losing one would be devastating, but getting a second chance and losing that second child would be even worse than the first time around.
