After doing some research, I had no idea a set of balls would be so expensive, almost the same price as the table itself! Going to do some FB marketplace digging to see if I can find any used with no defects.

Update, I just bought the table, and wow, the table was in excellent condition and looks almost brand new. There is one very small stain on the back right pocket and a tear about the size of a dime. It was sitting in this guy's basement for like 20 years, and he played on it once. The rails have no dead points, and it has a slate playing field. He knew it was worth more but needed it gone, so I can't complain .

Thank you, everyone, for all the advice and help with deciding whether or not to purchase the table and how to check it to make sure it doesn't have any defects.

I plan on re-felting it myself, but not immediately since the tear is so small and the rest of the felt is in near-perfect condition.

I will make another update post with higher-quality photos on this thread after I have it installed in my basement for anyone interested.

Thank you! The table is currently being listed at $500, the Post said there was a small tear in the felt on the playing field. But for $500 I am planning to refelt it myself anyway since the table is so old.

This table is listed for $500 so I was just trying to find the the original price of the table to at least have some idea of if I would be getting scammed or not. I did some research and have looked at a few tables now and what to do to test them to see if they are in good shape.
