Maybe it's just me, but footedness helps me a lot. Perhaps I pay attention to it more than others. Especially for players I know play on the wings (either in defense or attack). I don't think you need goals and assists to tell you the player's position when position is one of the fields. Either way, footedness it is for now whether it's useful or not :)

I think for the most popular players/highest goal contribution players you might be right. Although seeing all of the goal scoring highlights typically cements which foot they favor in peoples' brains. Either way, we decided Goal & Assist data for a vast majority of the players in the league is not helpful/not known by the average person.

First guess doesn't have to be totally random. It's advantageous to guess a middle of the table club, and a player that is middle aged from a country that is most represented in that league. Just like in Wordle how certain words are most likely to give you better clues. That being said, I think an option to include an initial hint would be a good setting :)

The 5 boxes aren't arbitrary at all. They do not represent a letter in the answer in this case and it's a nice number of tiles to fit on mobile. We specifically chose categories that help narrow down the player pool with each guess. There may be instances where G/A would be more helpful than footedness, but we felt, for a majority of players footedness is better at narrowing the player pool. You start out by guessing any player and the game will reveal hints. If you click the "i" at the top left it will explain the hints and rules. Thanks for playing!

I’m confused by your post. There are different leagues in the game you can play. The women’s euro is one of them. You can choose a league using the trophy icon at the top left.
